I am quite late to jump on the bandwagon but I finally managed to get a couple of these Wet n Wild palettes.
(Thanks for the enabling, Stacey! :P)
My first choice was the inspirational Lust palette, of course, and I grabbed another palette called Greed as well.

I saved the best for last. :)
Bronzed Taupe (890) is my favorite out of the five shades I got from L'Oreal Infallible range.
I even think I like this as much as my holly grail shimmery taupe shade, Chanel Vega (It is a legendary taupe shade that is now sadly discontinued.).

I bought this eyeshadow quad more than 3 weeks ago (see my haul post) and completely forgot about it until today.
I was initially attempting to do an in-depth review on the new Maybelline Illegal Length Fiber Extensions Mascara but I quickly realised there are not much to talk about this mediocre mascara, so I decided to throw in a FOTD using this forgotten goody. :)

mark Gloss Gorgeous is actually my favorite lip product of the year 2011.
I have been wanting to do a swatch post on this for a long time and I actually tried a couple of times, but the swatch pictures always came out too similar to give proper comparisons.
I tried it again today with the help of my artificial lighting set but alas, they still look so similar. ; /

Super Lustrous matte lipstick is another great lippie range from Revlon.
I don't particularly enjoy matte lip colors but I collected quite a few from this line.
Generally speaking, they all go on smoothly and feel light on lips. The best thing is that they are not drying like some matte lipsticks. (*cough* Mac Ruby Woo)
The matte formula especially shines through red colors, in my opinion.
They stay on for hours and fade away beautifully without the drying effect.
Thanks to the matte finish, they never look gaudy or over-the-top although the colors are quite intense.

One of my readers recently asked me in email if I could recommend "a good grey" color.
Here is a "very" good grey color from Essie.
Chinchilly is a part of Fall 2009 collection and it has been one of my staples ever since.

My new skincare set has arrived. ;)
I am almost finishing up my trustee Avene Eluage range so I have been searching carefully for my next regimen.
(I usually take a break from retinaldehyde products after one term.)
Initially I considered getting one of the new lines from Naruko, but I simply coudn't find enough reviews or information other than the descriptions on the website.
Some good reviews I've read about VIVITE products on blogger (thanks, Ahleessa!) and makeupally.com were very helpful, and I thought it was pretty safe to go with alpha hydroxy acid products since they have worked for me well in the past.

So I tried out the new Revlon quad Siren today.
They are very nice indeed. The texture is even and all the colors go on smoothly.
For its longevity, I can't vouch for anything since I used my trustee Shadow Insurance primer and most of eyeshadows stay well if I do.
In short, it is nice but not earth-shattering for me.
I would have liked some intensity in colors.
Oh, well...

I love Revlon Lip Butters and L'Oreal Colour Riche Balms equally and I personally think they deserve all the hypes indeed.
However, they are not perfect and both leave a little bit something to be desired.
For L'Oreal Balms, I would like a bit more color and lasting power although I adore how moisturizing they feel on my lips with glossy finish and added sun protection.
For Revlon Lip Butters, I love how they go on as if they are hugging my lips, but I want them to be more moisturizing and consistent in coverage. The biggest problem I have with Lip Butters is that they seem to vary in coverage and moisture level depends on colors.
I know some of you are praising Lip Butters for their good pigmentation, but I kinda wish the darker colors went sheerer cause they look a bit much on my pigmented lips.
So I thought...why not layering them? :)
I layered similar toned L'Oreal Balms over the darkest colors of my Revlon Lip Butters, and I am very happy with the results!

I like the former 12 hour ColorStay quads and I own more than a couple , so I was almost irritated to see this "improved" version and it's "16 hour" claim.
(Sand Storm quad from the old line is a seriously beautiful classic. I am going to grab a backup before it's gone and so should you.)
The packaging looks to me less appealing and even backwards since it reminds me of the long-discontinued Revlon Wet/Dry eyeshadows.
There are 16 different quads available and that is a lot for a new introduction (they are supposed to start with a couple and add more colors and LEs later on, no?), but they look all muted and conservative except for maybe one. (again, backwards)
Still, I had to pick one for myself because I am a creature of curiosity. ;p

First of all, I would like to thank all of you who have entered my first giveaway.
It's been lots of fun making new friends and finding more of fabulous blogs while this giveaway was going on.
Since I did not adapt a rafflecopter for entries, it is going to take some time for me to calculate exact number of them. I am planning to announce the winner by next Saturday. The winner will be selected by a random number generator. :)
Also, I appreciate all of your warm feedbacks and suggestions.
I am planning to include more skincare, OOTD posts in the future, so stay tuned! :D
Today, I wanted to share my favorite cleansing products with you.

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Audacious Asphalt
Spring 2012 is probably the best time to venture into drugstore makeup if you haven't already.
There are so many interesting products of excellent quality practically lined up!
Starting with Revlon Lip butter, we have L'Oreal Infallible eyeshadows and now Maybelline is adding more heat to the competition.

My first smart phone was a Palm Pre, not an iPhone.
My favorite eyeshadow primer is Too Faced Shadow Insurance, not Urban Decay primer potion.
If I have money to buy a luxury car, it would be from Audi, not from BMW nor Mercedes..
Just like that, I like Cargo blush better than NARS...
Maybe I like anything that is a bit underdog..or I don't like anything that is most popular of its kind..I don't know. ;p

Amalfi is a beautiful town in Italy, that much I know, and of course in this case it is the name of this fresh pink colored blush from Cargo. :)

Do you have some unexplainable dislikes for certain brands?
I have never liked Physicians Formula and their products looked all very uninteresting and overpriced whether they were on sale or not.
A couple days ago, I picked up this value set including Shimmer Strips Bronzer (Miami Strips) and Blush (Healthy Glow) only because the set was $2.99!

I have to say I am quite impressed with the quality and this got me (finally) interested in other Physicians Formula products.

So now I have three sticks of Colour Riche Balm. ;)
I was very happy with the first one, Tender Mauve so I bought two more, and I even thought I liked this better than Revlon Lip Butter.
Many of you are interested in knowing how these two products compare to each other as they pose in similar category.
However, these are two very different lip products and once you realise that, you would enjoy them as they are since both are excellent with different merits.

Here is an example that two negatives could make a positive.
Meaning?
Pretty much I can't wear anything green and I don't normally wear pink eyeshadows because they make me look drunk. : /
I guess I am cheating a bit since the NEO Queen Aqua lenses are close to teal. (Teal, I can do.) ;p

I like Revlon for their foundation, nail polishes and lip makeup.
(Well, I don't like any of their mascaras since they have always failed me. I don't know Revlon, is it so hard to make a decent mascara? *doing the hand gesture*)
Anyway.. ;)
I have used the famous Colorstay liquid makeup for years and lately I have been enjoying PhotoReady line as well.
To me, Colorstay liquid is overall superior to PhotoReady but by very little.
More importantly, PhotoReady line gives a very close color match (03 Shell) where my best Colorstay bet Buff looks ashy and flat on.
I could order this new PhotoReady Mousse makeup online with confidence because I knew this shade would work for me, and of course, the "mousse" concept was very interesting to me. :)
