Romand Better Than Eyes "Hanbok Project" Dry Violet

I had been curious about Romand eyeshadow quads forever but couldn't pull the trigger because the colors didn't seem to suit me very well. However, when I saw Dry Violet from the recent "Hanbok Edition", I knew it was time. By the way, Romand has collaborated with Korean Cultural Heritage Foundation and created this awesome collection (video). Everything in it is well thought of and quite beautiful, in my opinion.

First of all, this cool muted color story is beautifully done. It is not something you often see from KBeauty makeup range which usually focuses more on the warmer side of the spectrum.

And, I really love this accent shade with multi-dimensional shimmers. This is the color that "makes" this palette!

I am not sure if I love the texture or color payoffs as much as my other favorites, though. The matte ones are pressed quite hard so there is very little powder kick-ups and they even feel creamy to touch, but when applied using brushes, I didn't get the colors that I wanted even over a sticky eyeshadow base.

I still like this quad a lot! It is impossible to overdo with this one and you can effortlessly get a subtle definition to the eyes.

I have compared Dry Violet to my other cool neutral eyeshadow palettes:

Dry Violet is still unique in my collection thanks to the awesome glitter shade! If I have to pick just one palette (thank God, I don't have to), it would be the Dior although it is missing a fun glitter shade. It is the best in terms of quality and most versatile.

Now, let me show you a simple makeup look mainly featuring KBeauty makeup products including Romand Dry Violet eyeshadow quad.

    1. Hi, Georgia. Thank you so much!! I am still partial to Western brands when it comes to eyeshadow palette but this is unique and fresh in my collection. I have to say I like Romand lip products better than the eyeshadows, though. ;p
