Nowadays, there are so many KBeauty brands available that it's hard to keep up. Black Rouge is a new-to-me brand that offers a variety of affordable makeup. I heard their matte lip colors are rather excellent so I included these two in my last YesStyle order. Both Air Fit Velvet Tint and Rose Velvet Lipstick are priced under $10, and for the price, I think these are great quality.
Black Rouge Air Fit Velvet Tint Season 4: Girl Crush Rose (A20)
Air Fit Velvet Tint is the star product of the brand and Black Rouge has brought out different color collections. Season 4 is about "Bad Girl x Bad Rose" and mainly consists of saturated deep rose colors (according to the brand, they are "reinterpreted rose shades, not those MLBB"). I chose Girl Crush Rose which is described as a "cherry coke plum red". It's a cool red with plum undertones.
Black Rouge Rose Velvet Lipstick: Forest Rose (R05)
Rose Velvet Lipstick is a soft matte lipstick with medium to full coverage and gliding application. I really like the color that I picked, Forest Rose. It is described as a "chilly rose" but to me, it is a sophisticated coral rose that has both warm and cool undertones. I wore this one in a recent Look Book post ("From Roses").
Both have cushiony light textures and apply evenly on the lips. Compared to traditional gel tint or retro matte lip colors, these are not as long-lasting but comes with the easy comfort wear instead. Once the color set, the lasting power isn't bad at all.

Overall, I am happy with these two lip colors from Black Rouge. I can't say the formulations are the very best, but I have to say these are nicer than some of the higher-ends and the colors are quite complex and sophisticated. I'd recommend trying a few if you find colors you like.
Thanks for being here. Have you tried Black Rouge makeup?
*The lip colors mentioned here were purchased by me. This post contains affiliate links. Thanks for choosing to use them.
I've never tried anything from Black Rouge before, but both of these lip colours look beautiful and look like they'd create a pretty ombre effect really nicely xo

The colors are as good as some of the higher ends. To me, colors are usually the factors what higher ends set apart so this was very impressive to me. :)
DeleteThere are so many beauty brands, I can't keep up with them all! I love the colors of them, but it sucks the formulation isn't the best. Velvet tint formulations seem to be super popular in k-beauty!

So true! And I keep seeing new KBrands popping up on Instagram and cannot help but feeling curious about them. LOL. The ones I've tried recently were all satisfactory including this one. I don't know if you already have, but I'd highly recommed Romand. They make really good lippies! :)
