The new Dior Addict Fluid Stick is one of the few makeup items that actually got me excited this year.
I am already deeply(?) in love with Dior Addict lippie range, and this "lip hybrid that can do it all" piqued my interest as I am also a big fan of hybrid lip products.
As soon as I found out they were available on Macys.com, I started searching swatch photos on line.
There were many but mostly swatches of the same PR samples sent to selected bloggers consisting mainly brighter colors, which disappointed me because I was more interested in lighter hues for everyday wear.
I hesitated a bit but I ended up ordering the lightest color from the range, Kiss Me unswatched.
(Honestly, that was plain lazy since Macy's is two subway stops away from me.)

I don't have a strong preference towards drugstore blushes nor think of Revlon as a "blush brand".
However, I find myself reaching for my Revlon blushes very often even without thinking about it.
Many people seem to dismiss the range because it is not the most pigmented kind out there and the color selection looks less cheery than the rest, which is, well, all true.
I still have higher regards for them compared to other drugstore options and now even more so since Revlon has recently upgraded and simplified their blush collections.

I have combination skin with oily T-zone and wear waterproof sunscreen all year round, so it is always a bit congested.
I can't really say my skin is all that fussy meaning it is okay most of the time but it will certainly show it's not happy if neglected.
Weekly treatment with deep cleansing mask seems to be the easiest solution to prevent the occasional skin tantrums, so I have gone through many tubes of wash-off type clay masks.
Boots Botanics Complexion Refining Clay Mask is the one that I bought most recently.
(I actually have this on as I am writing this review. ;p)

I had been sporting this bright jelly color for a week anticipating the new season.
Although this perfect shade of hot pink was so pretty and wore well, I felt there was something amiss.
Maybe it is still too cold and windy despite of the official announcement of "first day of spring" (how do they determine this anyway especially when the mayor frigging dropped the groundhog this year?) not to mention we're expecting some snow in this coming week.
So back to dark and vampy, aka the polish comfort zone for me, I dug out this from my polish box.
(Seriously, I need to stash shop more often. I found many unopened polishes, too!)

I actually received Manna Kadar Lipstick Saucy in the Wantable PR box last year, and it was my favorite from the box.
I immediately thought this lipstick was excellent both in color and wear, but kinda forgot about it until recently.
Saucy is a saturated fuchsia pink with glossy finish, and quite a gorgeous and unique one.
"Sheer Fuchsia Blue Pink" is the simplest description from the website, which doesn't do a justice for this pretty color.

I have been testing quite a few facial masks lately, and I must say Radical Skincare Instant Revitalizing Mask is hands down the most interesting one that I've tried up to date.

NARS blush Sex Fantasy is oh-so-fine.
I have been wearing this blush nonstop ever since it arrived at my doorstep (well, actually to my doorman first, but I just love the expression).

There was a time when I relied only on powder foundation for daily makeup, but now I just carry one in my makeup pouch for occasional touchups.
Selecting a good powder foundation is still essential for me, though.
My combination skin needs touchups frequently, and the morning effort put in to look descent could all end up in vain if I am not equipped with a nice powder foundation.
Actually, Diorskin Nude Compact was not my first choice.
I initially went with the Chanel Perfection Lumiere Powder Foundation which I happily used up quite a while ago, but I forgot the U.S. color range Chanel offers is always slightly off for me. Even the lightest shade looked muddy on me and the powder felt drying on rather than melding with my skin.
Diorskin Nude Compact came as an alternative when I remembered Dior always offered an excellent selection of pale yellow base makeup.

L'Oreal Infallible is the range that I reach for most frequently in daily eye makeup routines.
The creamy yet slightly drier (than most squishy soft hybrid eyeshadows) texture is very easy to use and it stays on for a long time if not for 24 hours.
When L'Oreal brought out the new Butterfly Collection for Spring 2014, I was obviously intrigued but maybe not enough to make an immediate purchase.
(Once you know something is not an LE, you tend to relax a little...)
A couple months later, Burst Into Bloom still managed to sneak into my shopping cart, whispering to me "Pick me, I'm "the spring color" for you!".
