This impulse pickup from downstairs (there is a drugstore) turned out to be a total letdown.
I use hybrid kajal pencils (L'Oreal Voluminous Smoldering Liners) daily to base my eyeshadow colors. These have ideal texture that is not too dry nor too creamy, so I got all three colors from the line - black, brown, and grey. I have wanted something like this in blue color as well, which is why I decided to try Maybelline Master Kajal in Navy Night.

Often I feel the need of amping up the whole makeup look whenever I try to wear the color/circle lenses with more dramatic designs.
I usually balance them with darker smokey eyes or even with false eye lashes, but I thought liquid eye liner could be another option.

I did not want to spend much on something I would not use everyday so I decided to try a drugstore liquid eyeliner with good reputation.

This is such an amazing deal!
If Guerlain's Liu palette is my pick for makeup palette, this tarte eyeliner set gets my vote for the best value among all the holiday 2012 sets came out this year.

This mini set was introduced in 2009 as a part of the stila holiday collection.
At this rate, I might have to open an "antique cosmetics shop" since I am digging out all my dated makeups lately.
My excuse would be that I only bought this set last year after paying a maked-up price and I am rediscovering it just now.
(This still pops up online but always with marked-up price or not in the complete set. They were pretty much sold out when introduced since it was such a great deal at that time.)

My search for a perfect dark eyeliner that will last on my lower waterlines still continues, but I have kinda made my peace with the possibility that I might never find it.
Maybe my waterlines are simply too watery for anything to stick, which is probably a good thing since my optometrist once told me my eyes are quite suitable for contact lens wearing because of that. ;)

However, my search goes on as I said, so I included a Milani Liquif'eye metallic eye liner pencil in my recent Milani haul.
(This haul was, by the way, about those baked blushes. Keep your eyes peeled for my next swatch post for them! ;p)

I consider myself as an eyeliner newbie and I am still searching for a perfect dark eyeliner that will stay on my lower waterlines.
I recently found out that stila kajal eyeliners stay best on my lower waterlines although they are not perfect, and I was very surprised by that!
So I was naturally intrigued when I saw the new Voluminous Smoldering liners that claim to be inspired by kajal.
