Chantecaille Fall 2026 Lion Collection

I have my reservations about the brand (some of you might know that I generally do not like "give back" kind of marketing, and the brand's logistics and price strategy tend to fall short for me to fully embrace it as my favorite luxury beauty brand). However, I gotta say this is a gorgeous collection and a successful foray into Fall 2026 makeup season.

As I said, I don't like it when a brand marks up the price for the name of "giving back", but for the record, the Selenkay Conservancy seems to be doing an excellent job, and I love the majestic lion designs and themes. I just wish we could see how much is given for the noble cause more transparently.

Chantecaille Lion Collection features a single blush, 3 single eyeshadows, 2 lipsticks, and 1 eyeliner, and the formulas and color story are rather excellent. I am quite happy with what I picked up from this collection.

Cheek Shade Lion Pride ($44, Nordstrom)

Chantecaille hadn't introduced a single blush in this format in a while, and the new shade, Pride, is absolutely gorgeous.

I am not sure if I agree with the "deep blue pink" color description on the website. I'd say Pride is a deep neutral pink with quite a bit of red undertone. It is pigmented, but the silky formula allows you to control color intensity easily. Because of the gold overspray, the swatch here looks more coral than pink, but it looks pinker on the cheeks.

Luminescent Eye Shade Selenkay & Martii ($58 each, Nordstrom)

Love the packaging, and the eyeshadow formula is top-notch. I know it is pricier to make baked gelée eyeshadows, but I'd still think the price is on the unreasonable side. It would make a lot more sense if you do one-and-done type of eye looks often. For that, these are excellent.

Selenkay is a luminescent taupe shade with both rose and grey undertones, and it makes an ideal one-and-done eyeshadow color for me. Such a beautiful color in an amazing formula.

Martii is a slightly less luminescent shade in terms of finish, but a gorgeous chocolatey burgundy that is perfect for moody smoky eyes or to use as a depth/liner shade.

I did not purchase Narika, which is a demi-matte golden beige. I know I don't need it, but the baby lion on the packaging is so cute that I am still thinking about it.

Lip Veil, Candelabra ($55, Nordstrom)

Candelabra is a deep blackberry, and a cooler choice of the two (the other shade, Rock Jasmine, is a tawny cinnamon brown).

Lip Veil is still a lighter, more hydrating choice of lip formula, but I would have liked the shade a bit better had it come in their Lip Chic formula, which is even lighter and has a sheerer color payoff. Still, it is quite perfect for the season and works well with the other items I chose.

In my makeup look, I am wearing Wayne Goss kohl eyeliner in Copper Flame (which I thought had a similar effect as the eyeliner offered in this collection - Garnet) as well as Lily By Red mascara in Rosy Brown for a cohesive effect.

Overall, a very solid offering for the new season with some amazing shades and formulas. I just know I will be wearing these colors a lot.
