The new lineup of Chanel Rouge Coco is finally back! And Chanel has added some new shades to their lip liner line. There is also a limited edition of Rouge Allure, which is inspired by Chanel's Coco Crush jewelry line. I have some swatches to share with you!

Chanel revamped Rouge Coco lipsticks last year, but they were pulled due to the packaging issue (it was refillable, but the bullet sometimes pops out because of the airtight cap). Now they are back in the same non-refillable packaging, and I spot at least a few additional shades as well. This is my favorite Chanel lipstick formula apart from the 31 Le Rouge line, so I am very happy that they came back.

They still have the same classic scent that always brings back good memories for me. The new formula is more pigmented and longer-lasting while still being creamy and hydrating.

About 10 years ago, when the Rouge Coco line was introduced, the shade names were all about the "people" who were significant to Gabrielle Chanel's personal and professional life. A few cult favorites, such as Mademoiselle, Gabrielle, and Légende, survived this reformulation, but this time, it is all about the "places" that were important to Chanel. For example, Rotonde was a cabaret where Chanel sang and performed in her early age, and Flying Cloud was a luxury yacht where she often spent her summers with one of her lovers.)

Here I made some comparison swatches. Flying Cloud is supposedly replacing Cecile (which didn't come back in this lineup, unfortunately), but you can see they are quite different. Mademoiselle and Édiumbourg share some similarities, but also different.

Honestly, Rouge Allure isn't my favorite formula, but Chanel promotes it a lot. This time, there is a beautiful duo set that comes in a gold special case. I passed on it since I already own two other lipstick cases like this one. Rouge Charnel is a repromoted shade, but it's red and comes in the special packaging, so I had to get it. It is indeed a "powerful red" with a moderately cool undertone. I love the color.

I don't wear lip liners that often, and I never use one to fill my lips, but I love good neutral shades that can manipulate lip tones or add some definition to my lips when I wear pale lip colors. And I have to say the Chanel Lip Liner formula is one of my favorites! Beige Rose is one of the new shades, and it is so gorgeous.

Love seeing these classics all refreshed up! The new Rouge Coco line gets my special love since there are so many beautiful, nuanced, and elegant shades to choose from, and the formula is just superb.
