Chanel Rouge Coco ($53, Chanel US)
Chanel revamped Rouge Coco lipsticks last year, but they were pulled due to the packaging issue (it was refillable, but the bullet sometimes pops out because of the airtight cap). Now they are back in the same non-refillable packaging, and I spot at least a few additional shades as well. This is my favorite Chanel lipstick formula apart from the 31 Le Rouge line, so I am very happy that they came back.
Here I made some comparison swatches. Flying Cloud is supposedly replacing Cecile (which didn't come back in this lineup, unfortunately), but you can see they are quite different. Mademoiselle and Édiumbourg share some similarities, but also different.
Chanel Rouge Allure Limited Edition ($56, Nordstrom)
Chanel Le Crayon Lèvres ($37, Nordstrom)
Honestly, Rouge Allure isn't my favorite formula, but Chanel promotes it a lot. This time, there is a beautiful duo set that comes in a gold special case. I passed on it since I already own two other lipstick cases like this one. Rouge Charnel is a repromoted shade, but it's red and comes in the special packaging, so I had to get it. It is indeed a "powerful red" with a moderately cool undertone. I love the color.
I don't wear lip liners that often, and I never use one to fill my lips, but I love good neutral shades that can manipulate lip tones or add some definition to my lips when I wear pale lip colors. And I have to say the Chanel Lip Liner formula is one of my favorites! Beige Rose is one of the new shades, and it is so gorgeous.
Love seeing these classics all refreshed up! The new Rouge Coco line gets my special love since there are so many beautiful, nuanced, and elegant shades to choose from, and the formula is just superb.
