Prada has introduced a new lip gloss line. There seem to be 8 shades, but we currently have only 6 shades in the US. I have picked up 3 shades.
At the end of the day, this is a lip gloss, but I have to say it's an excellent one - hydrating, smoothing, nourishing, and pretty.
Prada Reflection Glossy Liquid Balm ($45, Nordstrom)
Prada boasts a precision applicator with a triangular tip. The lip gloss tube and the applicator are actually identical to the Prada concealer. I have to say that this same applicator works much better with the gloss formula, indeed ensuring precise application. (I personally thought it was just okay with the concealer.)
Virtual Pink is a neutral milky pink that looks very smooth on my lips. A solid MLBB shade.
Chocobot is a neutral brown nude that leans a bit cooler on my lips.
Pixel Plum is a beautiful berry shade with a neutral undertone.
The formula reminds me of Eadem Le ChouChou lip balm, and Bissap Glaze is almost identical to Pixel Plum, so I decided to swatch them together here.
A caveat about this Prada lip gloss is that it is scented and has a little bit of taste to it. I personally don't mind it at all, and the fragrance happens to be very close to Prada Infusion d'Iris, which is my favorite, but I know this can be a deal breaker for some.
On the other hand, Eadem lip balm doesn't have a taste, and it is more affordable. It would make a great alternative to the Prada. Of course, you will have to like the squeezy tube applicator.
