Chanel Spring 2024 Makeup Collection is stunning! This is probably the most sought-after spring makeup collection this year. This vibrant collection is inspired by the beautiful ocean and ocean life. The colors and textures are quite unusual for a Chanel makeup collection. The overall feel of this collection is fresh and special yet wearable. I have purchased most of the collection and have played with them for about a month now and I am really fond of this collection. Very memorable, to say the least!
Chanel Les 4 Ombres 78 Rivage ($68, Chanel)
"Rivage" means "shore" in French, and the color story is just perfect for the name. It is the most popular item in the collection and unfortunately, it is sold out in the US. Generally speaking, Chanel does not restock limited items but there have been a few exceptions, so I do hope this will come back because it is truly gorgeous.
The satin sky blue looks bright and fresh. I love that there are different textures in this quad. Some of the shades feel almost wet and sticky because they come in a more emollient base, which reminds me of those Byzance eyeshadow palettes.
Chanel Les 4 Ombres 88 Coral Treasure ($68, Chanel)
Coral and pink are not my go-to eyeshadow choices but I do adore this palette. The pinky violet accent shade is so gorgeous and it easily brightens the whole eye look.
Coral Treasure is slightly more pigmented compared to the Rivage quad. Same great performance with even color payoffs and longevity.
Roses Coquillage Blush Duo ($75, Chanel)
Rose Coquillage is a handy blush duo with both pink and coral shades. This powder formulation has a very fine matte finish that has great blurring effects.
It is one of those formulas that doesn't swatch that well but applies much better on the face. I can't say the colors are unique but the clear watercolor-like finish is really lovely.
I've received some questions regarding this new blush duo and the recent Les Beiges Healthy Winter Glow Collection blushes (reviewed here). The colors are not that different but the finishes are. The Les Beiges blushes have a glowy finish whereas the new duo gives a completely matte finish.
Lumière de L'Océan ($72, Chanel)
This highlighter powder is so gorgeous and quite different! It is definitely a glittery one and has a lot of presence.
It mostly flashes blue pearls but under warm indoor lighting, you can see an equal amount of pink pearls as well. Truly gorgeous and unique! The base is on the more emollient side and I find a strategic finger application is much more effective with this one.
I would say the Dior is closest but on the complexion, they look all different. No real dupe spotted here.
Chanel Baume Essentiel Mermaid Glow ($48, Chanel)
I initially skipped on this highlighter stick because I am not a huge fan of the formula. A few weeks later, I caved in because it was just such a pretty color. You can see the beauty in my short here:
Chanel Rouge Coco Baume 934 Coralline ($48, Chanel)
Coralline is literally a very pretty and wearable coral shade in a balm formula. Rouge Coco Baume is not my favorite Chanel lip formula but I do like this one to wear with the Coral Treasure eye quad.
Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof 82 Bleu Abysse ($35, Chanel)
Bleu Abysse is a beautiful bright blue shade. This color really transforms the whole eye makeup! I hear some say the Stylo Yeux is not as great after it was reformulated but I find no issue and it is still my favorite pencil liner formula.
Chanel Le Vernis 179 Lagune ($34, Chanel)
This medium satin blue nail polish looks almost borderline garish but there is something about this color. I ended up really enjoying it. Lagune looks amazing with the Bleu Abysse nail polish! The application and wear are great as they should be for a $34 nail color.

(I also added the Sea Shell Rouge Allure Laque later on from this collection. This medium mauve brown is a perfect shade that goes with the blue eye makeup!)
