Chanel has kicked off this year by doing something unusual. We usually get a Le Blanc collection around this time of the year, but we got Les Beiges Healthy Winter Glow Collection! It is also unusual because Les Beiges collections are rather reserved for summer seasons. As a long-time Chanel consumer, I like getting on with the regular program so I would have preferred another Le Blanc, but this is still a very beautiful collection with many inclusive shades.
I purchased an eyeshadow quint, 2 blushes, 1 Rouge Coco Baume, 1 shade of primer, and a nail polish from this collection. Let's take a look at them!
Les Beiges Healthy Glow Natural Eyeshadow Palette, Cool ($70, Chanel)
The name "Cool" is a bit misleading because color temperature-wise, Les Beiges "Light" is a much cooler toned. This is, in essence, a neutral color story with cranberry and muted plum.
Les Beiges Healthy Winter Glow Blush, Rose Polaire & Mauve Glacé ($72, Nordstrom)
Rose Polaire is the lightest option of the 3 options. It is a very wearable rose shade with a hint of coral. The finish is luminous but very subtle.
Both shades have a minimal white base, which makes them quite inclusive. With the right application, I believe these colors would look amazing on many different skin tones.
I hear this is the new blush formula and it certainly feels different from the Chanel blushes that I've experienced. It plays like a hybrid of pressed powder blush and baked blush. It feels a bit stiff to the touch but once applied, it melds beautifully with the skin. The colors are long-lasting as well.
Rouge Coco Lip Baume, Keep Cool ($45, Chanel)
Rouge Coco Baume is not exactly my favorite Chanel lip formula, but there is something about this frosty mauvy beige, Keep Cool.
It actually looks amazing on the lips and makes the whole look more interesting. I am glad I picked this up!
Les Beiges Healthy Winter Glow Primer, Frosty White ($55, Chanel)
There are 3 shades offered in this range - Frosty White, Icy Beige, and Light Copper. I picked up Frosty White which is the lightest option. This is an amazing primer. The base reminds me of my other favorite Chanel primer, La Base Illuminatrice, but the new Les Beiges primer feels and performs even better. It truly hydrates and plumps my skin while adding a subtle glow.
I expected to see some glitters or beaming glow because of the name, but it has a very smooth and subtle finish. I love the opalescent glow. Unfortunately, this is a limited edition so I ended up getting 2 more backups.
Le Vernis, Glaciale ($32, Nordstrom)
This is another favorite from the collection. Glacial is a cool milky white with a semi-sheer finish. Such a pretty and refreshing shade! The application is quite amazing as well.
I admit the overall color story is not what I expected but I really enjoy this beautiful collection. The colors are cohesive and perfect for creating a fresh winter glow. And, these are quality products that perform well as they should for the price we pay. I also love Chanel's effort to make more inclusive shades.
