I can't say Dior's Spring 2022 Makeup Collection is new or innovative (actually, color story-wise, it's not inclusive at all) but it is very traditionally "spring" and of great quality. I picked up quite a few pieces from this large collection despite my initial effort. These are not the usual colors that I go for but are very pretty nonetheless. Chanel is coming in hot this season (or at least showing better efforts than the Holiday collection). La Pausa de Chanel is one of the 3 new launches from Chanel this year and the bigger part of the makeup collection (there is also a smaller collection called "La Comète" and another big skincare/makeup launch, N°1 DE CHANEL. Of course, I will talk about them soon). I didn't expect much from La Pausa de Chanel collection but to my surprise, it is a very solid, wearable, and unique collection that is also inclusive. Victoria Beckham Beauty is one of those brands that many luxury content creators rave about, but for some reason, I hesitated for quite a long while. To me, the product and color ranges are on the small side and while the whole line exudes luxury, I couldn't help but think it's the glorified Estée Lauder (nothing wrong with Estée Lauder, it's just that Victoria Beckham is more expensive...)
Anyway, I finally pulled the trigger and got more than a few popular items from Victoria Beckham. My overall experience is mostly positive but I feel a bit underwhelmed. Everything is still very solid and I even want to grab a couple more shades in the future should there be another sale. Scroll down for some swatches and thoughts. I purchased Bobbi Brown LUXE Precious Metals Eyeshadow Palette on a whim and didn't expect much. Turns out it was one of the best from the holiday collections! This gorgeous palette is still available on Selfridges and even on sale. I'd highly recommend this one if you like sophisticated shimmery finishes in eyeshadows. It was a part of the holiday collection but certainly is something that I will reach for over and over again.
