Chanel Holiday 2021 N°5 Makeup Collection

Chanel Holiday 2021 Makeup Collection is also the N°5 Makeup collection as the brand celebrates the 100th anniversary of the iconic N°5 perfume this year. Considering that, I have to say I expected more. This collection consists of classic reds and glitzy gold, which certainly works for holidays but it doesn't feel that Chanel has done its absolute best with this collection.

I picked up the eyeshadow quad, 2 limited edition Rouge Allure Lipsticks, and the nail polish. There are liquid eyeshadows, liquid highlighter, and stick highlighter in the collection as well but I skipped on them knowing I wouldn't reach for them as often.

Les 4 Ombres N°5 ($65, Chanel)

If you are a collector or love glittery eyeshadows, this is worth checking out. However, it is not the most user-friendly eyeshadow palette. The 2 upper shades in the palette are more of topper shades and you will end up with lots of fallouts if you try to blend these colors excessively. It seems important to understand the textural differences in each shade with this quad.

I was quite certain that the N°5 palette would be very close to Codes Elegants (274) but not so much.

While they both have shimmery gold shades, the finishes are rather different since the N°5 quad is baked gelée formula with sparkles whereas Code Elegants has the baked formula with more subtle shimmers.

Chanel Rouge Allure 147 Emblématique & 157 Légendaire ($45, Chanel)

There are 5 shades of Rouge Allure lipsticks in this collection and these two are the limited edition colors (the others repromoted). The lipstick case has "5" embossed on top and that's the only special thing about them. Chanel has done a better job with Camelia & Le Lion collections and they are just a few dollars more if I remember correctly. On the other hand, these N°5 ones are $5 more. Luckily, I really like these two I chose, especially the Légendaire. This is such a perfect berry red color!

Chanel Le Vernis 913 Rouge Intemporel ($28, Chanel)

Rouge Intemporel is surprisingly nice. I usually have issues with how Chanel nail polishes last on me but not this one.

It is currently sold out on the website but not to despair. It is actually very close to Pirate. The only difference would be the finish but on nails, they are almost indistinguishable.

Finally, I have put a makeup look together mainly using these:
