Kaia Juicy Bamboo Natural Facial Cleansing Cloths

I use cleansing oil and bi-phased eye makeup remover for my daily makeup removal, so I can't say cleansing cloths are essential for that. Still, I need some sort of wipes, and quite frequently, too. I don't know about you, but I use a wipe to cleanse my neck on a day I don't take a shower at night. Although I find splashing soapy water on my neck is cumbersome if not in a shower, I still feel that my neck needs something. A baby wipe followed by a toner-soaked cotton pad usually is up for the task.
So naturally, I thought about my neck (rather than my face) when I had an opportunity to try Juicy Bamboo Natural Facial Cleansing Cloths which are infused with vitamins and double as toner.

As you might have guessed, these gentle and refreshing wipes work so much better to detox my neck from the daily gunk and sunscreen residues (disgusting, but it is true). Formulated for sensitive skin, there is no stinging whatsoever, which I sometimes experience from using baby wipes or toner with alcohol.
Kaia Juicy Bamboo Cleansing Cloths smell most natural, too. Maybe something like fresh coconut water with a papaya splash? Juicy but not in a cloying way. My neck feels supple and conditioned after, so I can skip the toner and go right to applying moisturizer.

Kaia Juicy Bamboo Cloths are supposedly multi-functioning (3 in 1) as facial cleanser, toner, and eye makeup remover, so I tried a few of them on my face, of course.
They work well as you see from the picture above.
However, the process is not as quick since I use a waterproof sunscreen, a long lasting base like NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation, and a waterproof mascara.
I myself would very much prefer these wipes on my neck (mainly because it is perfect for the job, but talk about some TLC on my neck), but I assume they are as effective as any micellar water if you wear light makeup and always on the go (there is a travel sized one with individually wrapped wipes, too).

Do you like using facial cloths in your cleansing routines?

  1. I've tried these before and they are really nice! Just a bit pricey up here. I have to shower every day since I go to the gym pretty much every day, and if I don't I still just wash my body because of hot flashes. I can't sleep if I don't shower!

    1. I usually go by the 36 hour rule unless I go to a Bikram yoga class (not taking a shower after this isn't an option ;p), so there are a few nights I need wipes for my neck. This is the gentlest thing I've tried so far, but I have to agree that the price could be more affordable. :)

  2. I have a review on the way for these as well. They're not the best at removing makeup for me, but they feel good for the next step (toning). Agree - I also like to use wipes on neck.

    1. I agree these wipes do a great job toning and conditioning. I think it it tough for a wipe to remove the makeup and sunscreen I wear quickly anyway.
Will look forward to your review! :)

  3. I'm not a fan of cleansing cloths for my face but never thought to use them for my neck, good idea! I also use cheap drugstore cleansing cloths for my fingers when I'm applying makeup (ie. if I applied a foundation / concealer with fingers I will use cloth to wipe it off before moving on to other makeup, find it faster and cleaner than washing my hands all through the process)

    1. I myself prefer cleansing oil and foaming cleanser, which is why I never went for micellar water, either. These wipes are certainly handy for small cleansing jobs (I should definitely start doing your thing! I've going back and forth washing my hands. Doh). I'd want to keep using something like this on my neck, though. :)

  4. Oh the packaging is very nice!!
I personally don't use cleansing wipes / cloths for my face, because I always have the feeling that they don't cleanse my face well enough.. But I always have them on my dressing table mainly to clean my hand or brushes after make up application..
I've never thought of them for my neck though, it's a nice idea Lena!

    1. It is very cute, isn't it? The straw thing is made with paper so I though it makes it easier to recycle. ;)
A but pricey for that, but I'd love to try one for brush cleansing and finger wiping. We need some sort of wipes in our beauty blogging lives (those arm swatches!!! ;0)

  5. I haven't tried this, but I usually use cleansing wipes only when I'm travelling. When I'm at home, I prefer to double cleanse because I'm anal like that. LOL! For cleansing wipes though, I really like my affordable Biore ones. They get the job done so quickly!

    1. Biore wipes are great! I wish these are as thick as Biore ones. Just that Biore wipes sometimes sting my eyes. I don't know why.
I wonder being gentle and effective can coexist when it comes to cleansing products at all.

  6. I haven't tried this brand but have tried other drug store brands. Awesome idea to use this to cleanse the neck which we often neglect. It is impressive how much product this wipe removes.

    1. I live in a polluted dusty area plus I usually slather sunscreen on, so my neck needs to be cleansed everyday. I feel much better using wipes than just using toner and a cotton pads.
These do nice job removing makeup. Just that it takes quite some time. :)

  7. These sound nice. I use cleansing cloths as an extra step before my double cleanse if I've been wearing way more makeup than usual or if my face feels extra grody and I love them when traveling.

    1. I think I'd like them much more if I don't wear waterproof mascara daily. I mean micellar water doesn't remove it completely, right? Then some highly effective makeup remover wipes sting. These came quite close when I think about how gentle they are. :)

    1. LOL. My neck is more sensitive than my face (which I find weird), so these wipes are just perfect for that. And I love how naturally sweet they smell, too! :)
