I am not into glitter polishes to be honest, only because it is so difficult to remove, I rarely buy glitter polishes on my own, so this gift was actually perfect!
I don't feel that I need to say much about how beautiful and unique Let's Go Crazy is since the picture literally speaks for itself.
Deborah Lippmann Let's Go Crazy
Obviously, it is named after the Prince's song.
It has a dark purple base.
Prince and purple, how perfect is that? :)
I really like the shape of her bottles.
It is very user-friendly as well.
I actually cheated a little bit here.
I know how difficult to evenly apply this type of glitter polish and how even more difficult to remove it later on, so I used one coat of Revlon Plum Night as base.
I can't get over how awesome this polish is!!
As you see, there are multi-shaped, sized & colored glitters including bigger hexagonal ones.
They are not just random, either.
You can tell this is carefully thought-out and quite artistic.
For some reason, I feel powerful wearing this on my tips. ;D
Many thanks to Taylor again.
And happy weekend to you all!
Ahhh, this is gorgeous! Another polish from DL that I neeeed! Beautiful swatch <3
ReplyDeleteI think I've been missing your posts on Bloglovin or something :( Anyway, some catching up to do! I love this nail polish!! I've been in a bit of a nail polish down period the last couple of months, but luckily there still are some polishes that manage to make me smile! Like this one :)
ReplyDeleteThat is so insanely beautiful, I keep clicking back to your blog to look at it
ReplyDeletelol lol
ReplyDeletei think you should go for it! ;)
Love your pics! BTW, I'm hosting a giveaway for a silver heart charm bracelet! Check it out!!
ReplyDeletethank you! and for your information as well. ;)
ReplyDeletelove the color of the polish !! its so sexy and fun!!
ReplyDeletetotally agree with you! :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I'm not sure if this is due to the polish or the addition of a base coat, but I quite enjoy the depth of this look. It's not just a surface glitter.
ReplyDeletethank you! :)
ReplyDeletei think the revlon color is very similar to the base of the DL polish plus the seche vite topcoat always adds nice dimensions. :)
woow.. ur nails look soo beautiful... and i also love ur blog too... simply beautiful... :)
ReplyDeleteand im following you too... pls follow my blog too if u dont mind... thank you...^^

hi Glory!
ReplyDeletethanks so much :)
following you as well!
have a nice weekend.
it is SOOO pretty :)
ReplyDeletethanks, Joyce :)
ReplyDeleteLove Deborah Lippman polishes. She does it so well! But like you I am not a person who like bling and absolutely hate removing glitter polish. Do you think applying a base helps the removal? I find that with a base it is still really tough.
ReplyDeletePls help support my aspiring blog too!
http://www.mumstumrum.onsugar.com
hi Shennie :)
ReplyDeletei'd still find removing quite difficult even with a base. i agree with you. it makes the removal a bit easier, though. :)
i'd love to visit your blog. thanks for the link.
awww thank you, Vita! :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adored this when I saw your Instagram pic - gorgeous alright!
ReplyDeleteI am so tempted to pick this one up! It is such a unique shade that I don't think any other company has released something like this one. If only the price tag wasn't so steep. >.<
ReplyDeletei don't know if i wanna purchase more DL soon because of the price, but this glitter polish is very satisfying. i'd recommend. ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's a gorgeous nail polish Lena! I didn't know glitter nail polish was so hard to remove until I purchased that OPI Minnie Mouse Collection. I haven't bought a glitter polish since! Hope all is well.

hi Kim!
ReplyDeletei've been just crazy busy. will get back to blogging soon. ;)
hope you're doing well. :D
This polish looks great! My sister recently taught me great method for removing glitter polish that makes it a lot less painful.
ReplyDelete1. Gather up 5 cotton rounds, 100% Acetone, and aluminum foil
2. Cut the cotton rounds in half so that you have a total of 10 pieces
3. Soak a piece of cotton with acetone and out it on your nail
4. Tightly wrap the nail and cotton pad with a strip of foil
5. Repeat step 3 for each nail
6. Wait 5 minutes
When you pull the foil wrap off your nail, it will remove most, if not all of the glitter polish. Any glitter remnants that might be left behind will come off with ease. It doesn't look very glamorous while you're doing it but it gets the job done!
thank you so much for the great tip!
ReplyDeletei am still wearing this shade. the wear is great!
i will try the method of your suggestion when i remove this. :)
This nail polish is wonderful!!
ReplyDeletethank you, Moeri! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful. It really flatters your skin tone. Love your blog :)

hi thanks for visiting and following!
ReplyDeletefollowing you as well. ;)
i think that was dang smart to coat it first like that..
ReplyDeletethanks! :D
ReplyDeleteEEeee! This is now on my wishlist! It's awesome! I didn't think it'd be so cool, hahaha.
ReplyDeleteme, neither!
ReplyDeletei was wowed by it while i was painting it (literally!).
i am getting tons of compliments as well. ^------^
It's so pretty! This is probably the only hex-shaped glitter topcoats I'll wear. Thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeletemy pleasure!]
ReplyDeletethank you. ;)
Oh my gosh, this is so pretty! ;u; I can't wait for my exams to be over so I can play with nail polish. xD
ReplyDeletehaha thanks!
ReplyDeletegood luck with your exam, Junjun! :)
I'm not the biggest glitter fan for the very same reason, but the hard-to-remove factor makes it last longer, ;)
ReplyDeletei guess you're right!
ReplyDeletesmaller glitters are even more difficult to remove. ;-/
OH LOVE!!! It's smart to use Plum Night as base too, because otherwise I suspect it'd be a bit sheer. I was looking at Cleopatra in New York. Maybe I'll finally get over my glitter phobia and get it!
ReplyDeletethanks, Sunny!
ReplyDeleteit is a bit different than layering glitter polish only, but convenient and less painful to add a base!
the Cleopatra in New York sounds very intriguing!
I love Deborah Lippmann! I have one in "Good girl gone bad" with a matte finish which is beautiful!! but they are expensive here in Germany ( ca. 23€ ) T.T
ReplyDeleteand btw, your nail shape never fails to impress me! ;)
awww thanks, Pam!
ReplyDeletenow i am more interested in DL. frankly i thought she was overrated or something before..ha
will look in to her matte polishes as well. :)
Wow! Such lovely images! Thank you so much for the mention, your so kind :-) I think the base is a terrific idea and I'm going to cheat now too. Don't you love the names? Now your going to see just how incredible these wear. xoxo
ReplyDeleteoh my pleasure, Taylor!
ReplyDeletethanks so much for this lovely experience. it it wasn't for you, it would have been long for me to try DL polishes.
adding a similar base to glitter polish is a trick i've been doing for some time now. hope it works for you as well. :)
great pictures lena! that colours looks right up my alley, i have a few DL nail polishes and the quality is very good. I really like that they are 'different', with the lovely glitter partikles. I am really drooling over those pics! have you tried kure bazar paris nail polishes? they are really good (some shades are dupabel) but the taupes in this line are phenomenal.
ReplyDeleteah we are two purple polish buddies!
ReplyDeletei was so surprised how it looks on my nails. it is not too much at all. a perfect balance between fun and sophistication.
i haven't tried kure bazar brand but i'd love to. thanks for the rec! :)
Looks so lovely on your nails! I really wanna get more of these glitter polishes but I end up getting too lazy to remove the glitter afterwards.
ReplyDeletethank you, Chloe!
ReplyDeletei honestly think glitter polishes require the same method for removing gel mani or something. it'd be worthwhile in this case, though. ;p
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI saw it in person but wasn't convinced that it was worth it. But I used to collect most Lippmann stuff and it was a surprise. But it looks so amazing on you. WANT. NEED. :-)
hehe thanks, Liz!
ReplyDeleteanother enabling mission completed ;D
So I really WANT this. I've been lusting over it for a while now because of the purple glitter! So pretty on you, Lena!

ReplyDeletei never thought i'd like a glitter polish this much. it is awesome :D
Oh my gosh, this is seriously super super pretty! It's unique and has dimension to it. So glazed too! You seem really good at applying nail polish hun! Congrats on winning this gift~
ReplyDeletethank you :)
ReplyDeletei am only wearing one coat over the revlon polish finished with seche vite top coate.
for a glitter polish, it goes on quite smoothly. i was impressed!
That polish is a stunner! Must have <3 if only deborah lippmann wasn't so expensive!
ReplyDeletex
i wish the same thing.
ReplyDeletethere are a couple more i wanna get my paws on! ;)

ReplyDeleteso pretty! x
ReplyDeletethank you!
ReplyDeleteThat's a brilliant idea of applying Plum Night as base! I like the colour and the harmony of two shade are so adorable.
ReplyDeletethank you!
ReplyDeletethe base colors are pretty much the same. this way i don't have to chunk up the glitters. :)
Wow, that looks so beautiful xx
ReplyDeletethanks, Coco!
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous! Totally up my alley, I'm a glitter polish FIEND :p Sadly I don't have any Deborah Lippmann, not available here and sooooo expensive! The bottle is so purdy though :)
ReplyDeletei actually thought about you!
ReplyDeletei think i mentioned it before but you have the best taste in glitter polishes and i enjoy looking at nail pictures. :)
yeah, DL is expensive..*sighs*
Looks so pretty!

thank you! :)
ReplyDeleteOMG, what a pretty!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tries any Deborah Lippman nail polishes, but I think it's time to do it. This one looks soooo good!
http://mymakeupcompulsion.blogspot.com.es/
thank you.
ReplyDeletethis is my first bottle as well. i've thought she was overrated but seems that she does glitters right! :)
This looks lovely! I dislike glitter nail polishes mainly because it's darn difficult to remove. They look really good on though. I guess it't the price of some pretty nails :-)
ReplyDeletei rarely wear glitter polishes for the same reason!
ReplyDeletesometimes it is worth the pain especially for something like this, though. ;)
Love this shade! Is it a jelly base because it looks like that! Pretty, pretty!
ReplyDeletei am still wearing it. it's been like 10 days and it only shows the minimal tip wear and some growth from cuticles. amazing! :)
