Look Book | Smokey Obsessions

Huda Beauty Smokey Obsessions is a great neutral smokey palette with a good mix of matte and shimmer plus a rather excellent matte black (you can see the swatches here). Unlike the Mauve Obsessions, I find this one very easy to wear and versatile. Please read on for the look I recently created with this universally flattering palette.

Here are the core products I used.
Ulta Poreless Face Primer (I think it's a good alternative to Smash Box Photo Finish Primer.)
Too Faced Born This Way foundation in Swan
Huda Beauty Smokey Obsessions
Becca Highlighter Rose Gold (as blush)
Rimmel Eastend Snob lipliner
MAC Moder Kajal Twist (discontinued)
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Ebony
L'Oreal Lash Fantasy Waterproof in Blackest Black

The color placement is quite basic:
The matte clay(1) was applied all over to set a warm tone.
The shimmery medium bronze(2) was used as the lid color and the matte brown(4) on the outer Vs.
The matte black(5) was added for more intensity and finally, I used my finger to apply the pinkish taupe shimmer(3) in the middle of the lids.

Hope you enjoyed this look!

I can't say Huda Beauty Smokey Obsessions is truly unique but I'd highly recommend it especially if you have just started building your eyeshadow collections or want a compact smokey palette with all the essentials. I personally prefer something less pigmented but you'd enjoy this one if you like eyeshadows with nice color payoffs.
