A quick post today - I wanted to share my take on holiday nails with you.
I wear variations of red pretty much all year round and I am intentionally avoiding red polishes these days. I even wore a dark greyed blue (Essie Bobbing For Baubles) on the Christmas day.

Etude House Dear My Blooming Lips-Talk (Cream)
Generally speaking, of course, but I kind of hate K-beauty naming sense. You see, here is a perfect example - Etude House Dear My Blooming Lips-Talk (Cream) PK002, 화난 핑크(Angry Pink: what the heck is that?). It is grammatically wrong(although I am no one to judge), confusing, and mouthful. I have another lipstick from Etude House to review, which comes in a curvier case with a cute bow attached and is named Dear My Wish Lips-Talk. My guess is that "Dear My" is an extensive lipstick line from the brand. (You have no idea how much I wish the words were placed the other way around.)
Dear My Blooming Lips-Talk (Cream) is the first Etude House lipstick I've tried in a while, and luckily for me(?), I do not love it so that I would get into figuring out all these variations. I do like this cool artificial pink color a lot, though.

Chanel Joues Contranste 89 Canaille
When introduced in 2014, this limited edition color was clearly described as a "burnt orange" by Chanel. It looked orange from the pan and swatched orange so that I even featured Canaille in an orange-themed collective post before. Canaille is an intense and gorgeous color which totally deserves a spot in my blush collection. However, I assumed it would be one of my novelty items (like Chanel Joues Contraste Rouge - reviewed here) and never thought I would reach for it as often as I do now.

Skin Aqua UV moisture Gel SPF 35 PA+++
Skin Aqua UV super moisture Essence SPF 50+ PA++++
Skin Aqua UV moisture Milk White SPF 50+ PA+++
Sunscreen reviews are not very exciting, but I wanted to share my ongoing love for the Skin Aqua sunscreen range. I have been using them since last spring and even repurchased them more than a couple times now. They are perfect for my current skin conditions that I haven't looked at other sunscreen options in a while. I usually get them on Amazon or eBay. They are relatively easy to acquire (some ship from overseas but there are U.S. sellers available as well) and priced reasonably (under $15 USD).

Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow Diamond Dog
I do not have much to say about Diamond Dog except that I love it and reach for it frequently. If you like cool brown and lots of shimmer, go treat yourself.

Four colors from Etude House Look At My Eyes Budapest Collection 2016
When my friend Pauline said she wanted to send me some Etude House eyeshadows, I was skeptical. Eyeshadows from Etude House are something I had experienced a decade ago and completely dismissed. They were no different from "chalk" back then. My friend probably read my mind and added, "Now they are good." Which is true as she always is when it comes to cosmetics.

Berrisom Oops! My Lip Tint Pack Bubble Pink
I initially disliked this peel-off type lip tint. It is not a product you can put on and go out the door. There is a bit of learning curve to apply the gooey gel evenly (now I get the "oops" part). It tastes terrible - sour and synthetic. Yet slowly I have become to depend on this weird lip tube for the utmost natural color and longevity.

Lunasol Geminate Eyes 04 Sapphire (SP)
(I personally think it is highly debatable if cosmetic industry is indeed the biggest evil of child labor related to mica mining. Not to discourage many conscious consumers out there, but let me just say that cosmetic industry takes only a fraction of this whole mica business (not to mention there have been many successful endeavors to find substitutes) and women are almost always targeted whenever consumerism is in question.)
On a lighter (and prettier) note, I think Lunasol does shimmer and glitters right (plus I suspect they use synthetic ones although I don't have ingredient lists to confirm that). Lunasol Geminate Eyes 04 is another fine example, and I must apologize in advance this particular color is no longer available.

NARS Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow Kari
I bought a few from NARS Spring 2016 collection in the summer and started using them right away without photographing first. (I know. It sounds wrong on multiple levels.)
Being a cool-toned pinkish mauve, Kari seemed an easy choice, and I expected it to fill the void where MAC Soba couldn't for me. Kari performs exactly how it is supposed to do and is reached for quite often. I just wish I like the formulation a bit better.

NOTD - Revlon Nail Enamel Perplex
The other day I was browsing the Revlon nail polish section downstairs. Revlon has more than a few nail formulations available, but the classic Nail Enamel is still my favorite. It is in fact the only drugstore nail polish I buy and there are some shades I would forever repurchase (Revlon Red, for instance). I would have bought a backup of Perplex (aka Naughty) because I love this transitional vampy shade with dusty purple undertones, but I could not find it. Revlon must have done it again. (sighs)

Beauty People Pure Vitamin Capsule Lip Tattoo Strawberry
Now K-beauty is clearly a big thing, although I must say I was never motivated to go out of my way and pay markups for overly cutesy stuff. Maybe it is because Korean makeup is something I remember from a decade ago and it's not that great at least in my memories. Recently I've been exchanging a few of care packages with my long-time online friend in Korea. She is a real beauty guru and has similar skin tone as me. And she emphasized that this Beauty People Lip Tattoo Strawberry was a MUST.
Boy oh boy, wasn't she right.

For some reason, I've always liked the Botanics line from Boots and have more than a few items on staple. They are affordably priced and perform really well especially for my deep cleansing routines. With some weekly diligence and the aid of these sensible drugstore offerings, my skin has kept quite clear and smooth these days.

The name "vivacity" suits this blush very nicely. Vivacité is a medium-toned fuchsia with a good deal of berry hues. It is definitely one of the brightest blushes I own, but not terribly so that I feel that I need to reserve it for a special occasion. In fact, I've been wearing Vivacité quite often throughout the summer.

(Hello, there.)
I have only become to appreciate warmer neutrals lately, so it isn't that odd I got to experience the famous Lunasol Beige Beige eyeshadow palette just months ago. Thanks to a friend (although she doesn't seem that happy with the set), I also spotted a good deal and bought it in a Skin Modeling Eyes Kit, which Lunasol does every year with this steady-selling quad (basically you get a freebie or two with the Beige Beige).
