Berry Pink Lips | L'Oreal Glossy Balm Pink Me Up & Lancôme Lip Lover Framboise Etoile

Medium berry pink is an easy color for me to wear on lips and these two come in great formulas as well. Yet I have been feeling uninspired to do separate posts on them. I still reach for them quite often and I think they are nice every time. The mini Lip Lover has even found a place in my makeup bag. Both are brightening and flattering colors with shine (oh, I like shine) and feel moisturizing. I don't know why I don't love them. There is a less flattering shade in horrid formulation that has a more pull on me than them. Why is that?
Nevertheless, I thought the internet could use a few more swatches and overall looks (or does it?), so here you go.

L'Oreal Glossy Balm Pink Me Up

Maybe it is me who never understood the charms of chubby sticks. I find the whole thing a bit boring. Having said that, L'Oreal Glossy Balm feels amazingly pampering on lips. Probably the best I've experienced from the similar kinds. The color payoff is great but it fades away rather quickly probably due to the moisturizing properties in it. It still leaves some stains behind so that I don't feel rushed to reapply every two hours.

(There is nothing boring about blue grey contacts flashing under the bright lighting, because I got scared by my own picture yet again. But I promise you this is the last one with them, and they were recently discarded upon the expiry date, ok?)

I received this mini sized Lip Lover with my Lancôme order a while ago. Kudos to Lancôme for including this legit cutie in their sample selections. No points required.

I have the Lip Lover shade which I've enjoyed a lot (reviewed here). I placed them next to each other for a size comparison. The mini is definitely more adorable but it lacks the click-y applicator. All is good, though.

Framboise Etoile is the star shade of the range, I believe.
It is redder (more like raspberry as the name suggests) and hotter than Pink Me Up which has more blue in it.

Thanks for looking!

Have you ever found a lippie a bit uninspiring although you can't really fault its shade or formula?
