Dior does pastels very well, and their spring makeup collections usually consist of arrays of pastels. This year's collection isn't an exception. Dior Ultra-Glow makeup collection for 2026 would be a delicious choice if you are into lighthearted pastel shades. Unfortunately for me, I always find pastel shades difficult to pull off, and the eyeshadow quints from the main part of the collection did not appeal to me at all. I ended up purchasing from the subpart of the collection - usually called a "Buds" collection, and this small subsection used to be Japanese Isetan exclusive, but it's been generally available for shoppers in other parts of the globe in recent years.
I am still not overjoyed by the collection as a whole, but there are some beautiful things that surpassed my expectations!
Diorshow 5 Couleurs 151 Marshmallow ($72, Dior US)
Marshmallow eye quint is definitely another pastel palette, but I was drawn to the rather unique color story and the saturated center shade. This isn't a super pigmented palette by any means, but from the swatches I have seen, Marshmallow is still a better option than Pink Lolipop and Mint Bubblegum palettes in terms of the color payoffs.
In fact, these colors are pigmented. They are just light shades! The center orange satin is beautifully pigmented and applies best among the 5 shades in the palette.
The pinky lilac satin and the pale mint satin look beautiful when paired with the center orange color. The matte pink in the upper right is also very nice. The pale pink satin in the lower right is my least favorite since it looks somewhat frosty and doesn't do much for my complexion.
Dior Rouge Blush 552 Fizzy Crush ($49, Dior US)
This saturated new shade of blush is a pleasant surprise! Fizzy Crush is a beautiful, vibrant coral with silver shimmer. It's pigmented and gives such a gorgeous flush to the cheeks.
This color corresponds very nicely with the center shade from the eye palette. Since the eye palette yields a very light effect on the eyes, this bright cheek color balances it out the look, giving fresh life to the complexion. The shimmer is just right in this color, too!
Dior Forever Glow Luminizer 831 Sugar Cane ($55, Dior US)
Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil ($42, Sephora)
Dior Vernis 006 Minty ($34, Dior US)
Last but not least, we have the gorgeous Minty nail polish! Dior did a mint nail shade in Spring 2024, so I didn't expect it to be too different, but oh, it is!
The base is slightly more saturated (meaning it has less white), and it comes with gorgeous blue shimmer. It is so much prettier in person! It also performs so well - in this mani photo, I am only wearing one coat. Such a beautiful shade with excellent application that I would highly recommend this nail shade.
In my makeup look, I am wearing all the items I purchased from this collection. The lip oil shade is Mocha.
Not my favorite makeup look, especially because I prefer more definition to the eyes, but I am embracing these lighter colors, dreaming of the warm breeze in the air.
