We have been blessed with many beautiful summer luxury makeup collections, but if I have to pick just one winner, Dior certainly takes the cake. This is the largest, most eye-catching, and coherent summer collection this year. The whole collection is adorned by rather opulent and intricate "Toile de Jouey" designs and gold oversprays. What's underneath is equally impressive with beautiful vibrant color stories and great formulas.
Diorshow 5 Couleurs, 974 Pink Riviera & 654 Coral Riviera ($71, Nordstrom)
Pink Riviera has 2 shades with microglitters and rust-pink tones. I don't sport pink eyeshadows often but I have been reaching for this palette a lot these days.
Coral Riviera has this amazingly beautiful coral shade in the center. So pretty! What is underneath the gold overspray are all satin formulas, so if you prefer smooth satin eyeshadows and corals, this is the palette for you. Also, this one has 3 of the great neutral brown shades for simple daily looks.
(Both the bronzer and the luminizer come in special packaging with "Toile de Jouey" patterns on delicate fabrics. Such lovely presentations!)
Dior Forever Nude Bronze Glow, 032 Pink Bronze ($55, Dillard's)
This is basically the same shade as the 032 Pink Bronze that came out last year but it comes in even more gorgeous packaging and golden overspray designs. I find the formula of this year's version is slightly softer and easier to work with.
I have compared these two versions of 032 Pink Bronze:
Dior Forever Glow Luminizer 004 Coral Glow (Harrod's)
This is a beautiful blush/blush topper/highlighter shade with fine microglitters and a cool champagne shift. This looks glorious on the skin!
There was a previous version of "Coral Glow" so I've made another set of comparisons. Thank God, all 3 look different.
Dior Vernis, 330 Coral Pop & 664 Sienna ($32, Nordstrom)
(I love these colors! Both are one-coaters.)
Coral Pop is a bright coral with a touch of neon and shimmers. A perfect summer nail color.
(No nail swatch comparisons, but I have quite a few similar nail colors from Dior. All different, of course.)
Dior Addict Lip Maximizer, 092 Garnet Fizz ($40, Dior)
There are 3 of the limited shades of Dior Lip Oils in this collection, but I opted for this Lip Maximizer shade because I prefer the formula. Granet Fizz is such a gorgeous muted red with some mauvy undertone and spart shimmers. Very pigmented.
And, here are different makeup looks I created using this collection:
