Dior has started this holiday season with a very feminine and spring-like collection, Miss Dior Millefiori Collection, and it is beautiful. It is a rather big collection since it has two distinct themes combined - Miss Dior Fragrance & Millefiori patterns. The beautiful softer colors and amazing details in this collection sure are enough to excite beauty lovers. I did not pick up the Miss Dior fragrance items (there are bath pearls, bath bombs, and an LE candle) but purchased most part of the makeup. Scroll down for my review and swatches.
5 Couleurs Couture 1947 Miss Dior ($62, Dior)
The stock photo on the Dior website is rather misleading since the actual palette is a bit more saturated and lively. It is a pinky rosewood eyeshadow palette with a touch of sophistication. Very pretty!
There are 2 mattes, 2 satins, and 1 glittery topper in the quint, which is a classic composition that are found in many Dior quints.
The center shade is what makes this quint special in my view. This medium rosewood color with a satin finish grounds the whole palette and prevents it from looking too pink or purple. The quality is very consistent with the other Dior quints that I've experienced in the past.
Dior Addict Lip Glow 1947 Miss Dior ($38, Dior)
When it comes to tinted lip balm, I prefer Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Tint or Guerlain KissKiss Bee Glow, this particular shade in the Dior Lip Glow formula looks very flattering on me. The description says it is a "luminous rosewood" but it is a slightly muted cool pink on my lips. It also looks quite different from the same shade in the Dior Addict lipstick formula, which makes sense because the Lip Glow formula is supposed to work uniquely with your own body chemistry.
Dior Addict Refillable Lipstick 1947 Miss Dior ($42, Dior)
It is a shame this color did not come in a refill but I had to pair this one with the new LE Miss Dior lipstick case. (And I ended up buying another refill for the empty case that was left. Dior seems to know how to do business.)
It is a beautiful pinky rosewood shade that does not look aging on me. I love it.

There is another Dior Addict lipstick shade that is supposedly re-promoted in this collection - 956 Défilé. It is a bright rosy red and I paired it with the LE Millefiori Case.

Dior Addict Lipstick Case ($28, Dior)
Miss Dior case - It is made of fabric that looks and feels just like the ribbon found on the neck of the Miss Dior fragrance!
Millefiori case - made of canvas-like material with delicate flower patterns. So gorgeous.
There are other stunning pieces like Rouge Dior Velvet lipstick with Millefiori embossment and LE cushion powder with the case adorned with Millefiori design. I was seriously tempted but did not go for them because I don't wear matte lipsticks often and the LE powder has the same shimmery powder that I already own.

Overall, it is a really beautiful collection. I find it refreshing to see a holiday collection that is not all about the usual goldy glitz. Available on the Dior website, I'd highly recommend checking them out.
