Dior Addict Refillable Lipsticks & Backstage Flash Perfector Concealer

Dior Addict Refillable Lipstick review swatches

Dior has revamped their popular lipstick line, Dior Addict Hydrating Shine Lipstick($39, Sephora), and added a concealer to the Backstage line. Of course, I had to try them. They did not disappoint and compared to the almost evil thing that Chanel recently did, I have to say this was a fair move. I have been enjoying them quite a bit.

So basically, Dior has cleaned up the ingredients, and now, 90% of the ingredients are from natural origins. Dior has increased the price only by a little ($1 USD) and the packaging is more luxurious compared to the existing Dior Addict line. More importantly, now you can purchase refills ($32 each) separately. These new refills fit perfectly into the old Dior Addict cases as well. Not bad at all!

However, Dior did not miss the opportunity of upselling us by offering 3 gorgeous limited edition cases ($28 each). If you pair a refill with one of these, it quickly becomes a $60 lipstick but I couldn't help but get the Pink Cannage case for myself. It is so gorgeous! This isn't really new since Guerlain has been doing this for many years and Givenchy also offers refills and custom cases.

This time, I made a conscious effort not to buy saturated pink and red colors. I got a pale pink and two other colors with coral undertones.

Tie & Dior is a gorgeous cool pinky nude with subtle silver shimmer. Great color with strong smokey eyes and lots of blush!

Dior Addict Refillable Lipstick Cruise swatch
Cruise is a medium coral with a white base. The sheer finish makes it more wearable for me but I can't say this is the best color on me. It is a brightening spring shade for sure.

Lucky is described as a "red-coral" but it pulls quite pink on me. Love this one.

I don't use concealer every day and honestly don't know much about it. I do think I like this one, though. I have been enjoying Dior Forever Skin Corrector but I might prefer the new Backstage Flash Perfector Concealer ($29, Sephora) slightly more. I forgot to take a photo but this concealer comes with a brush applicator that allows me to easily control how much product I am putting on my face. The consistency is thinner and more stretchy. I find it long-lasting and quite forgiving on the skin.

I was surprised to see 0W shade is quite a bit brighter than 0N in Dior Forever Skin Corrector. It still blends in nicely with my skin tone providing a great brightening effect.

[Edit] I recently received a sample card so I made additional swatches with the ones I purchased. I hope you find this helpful!
