It's been a while since the last time I hauled Anna Sui makeups but I used to be crazy about their cosmetic cases with the rock-chic princess vibes. Albion manufactures the stuff so the quality is quite up there, too (If you have oily skin, I highly recommend Anna Sui loose powder). Recently though, I realized something I never did before - Anna Sui offers a very nice range of saturated cool-toned shades! It is a fresh breath of air to the current makeup market heavily focusing on warm reddish hues.
So, I hauled a few of the usual suspects (read bright hot pinks) and some neutrals as well. I also bought this ornamented comb because it had been on my wish list for years. I am so pleased with them! The quality is even better than what I remembered and I find the colors and the finishes very lovely.
Anna Sui Black Eye Color 302 (Classical Pink Duo) is a limited edition but you can still find it on Beautylish. A few ongoing colors are available on Amazon as well. This is a cute little duo of a cool satin pink and a shimmery burgundy pink and very easy to create a simple feminine look. Both shades go on very smoothly but mind you that the burgundy color has oversprays.
Not exactly a cool-toned palette, but Anna Sui Eye Color Trio 01 (Golden Mademoiselle) is so gorgeous. The color story is very unique and even genius. I am particularly fond of the khaki and the deep eggplant combo. All colors apply, blend, and last very well.
And of course, I had to get these two corresponding lipstick and blush! Both are extremely saturated with clear undertones. Anna Sui Black Rouge S300 leans a bit more purple compared to the blush shade. Again, the quality is really great. You need a light hand for applying Anna Sui Black Powder Blush 300, but for such a bright color, it still blends so nicely and looks naturally pretty on the skin. The lipstick provides almost full coverage with one swipe and lasts for many hours as it stains a bit. It feels hydrating and comfortable on the lips.
Yes, it is just a regular comb but I had to have it. What can I say? It makes my daily hair-parting more pleasurable. My old powder case and the vintage Anna Sui original perfume made guest appearances.
The official website surprisingly had limited selections so I purchased mine from Amazon and Beautylish.
And I have put a makeup look together mainly using the new Anna Sui makeup. This was actually what I wore on my birthday this year.
