Guerlain Terracotta Nude Powder

Guerlain Terracotta Nude Powder review swatches

Guerlain Terracotta Nude Powder ($46, Selfridges) is my latest bronzer purchase but it ended up being my favorite peachy blush! This is a beautiful product that is so easy to use that I have been reaching for it quite often lately. Let me show you some swatches and makeup looks!

Isn't this just gorgeous? For me, bronzers are usually limited to contouring, so I tend to go for cool shades with grey undertones. I knew that Guerlain Terracotta Nude Powder wouldn't be for that because it looked quite peachy and warm. Seduced by the delicate embossing, I still had to get it.

The powder is very finely milled and scented with the signature Guerlain fragrance. I am picky with fragrances in makeup but for some reason, I enjoy this one quite a bit. Some people say the opposite, so please test it if you're particular about fragrances.

Here is a quick comparison with my other Guerlain bronzer. The Natural Brunette ($54, Saks Fifth Avenue) shade is matt in finish and more suitable for brontouring. Terracotta Nude Powder has a luminous finish and is lighter in color.

I think this color would be perfect for all-over dusting for a naturally sunkissed look, but it makes such a great light peach blush for me. There is something about this slightly golden peach color! It reminds me of Chanel Tweed Beige blush (reviewed) but I have to say I prefer the Guerlain.

I usually opt for peach and nude colors to pair with blue/purple eye makeup (I do love pinks but blue and pink combos can be too much), and Guerlain Terracotta Nude Powder is perfect for that.  Once worn on the cheeks, it isn't too warm. The color has this magic of harmonizing everything without being too pronounced.

Here is an overall look with Guerlain Terracotta Nude Powder:

Makeup products used for this look:

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua 10 Beige ($50, Chanel)
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder 1 Fair ($45, Sephora)
Chanel Poudre Luminere White Opal ($58, Chanel)
Guerlain Terracotta Nude Powder ($47, Harrods)
Chanel Les 4 Ombres Fascination (discontinued. I think Dior 5 Couleurs Denim is similar)
Chanel Le Volume de Chanel wp mascara ($32, Chanel)
Rimmel Exaggerate lip liner Eastend Snob ($5.49, Walgreens)
Pat McGrath Lust: Lip Gloss Divine Rose ($28, Bergdorf Goodman)

The bottom line is that I love this bronzer. If you're looking for a high-quality bronzing powder with a light luminous finish or simply a gorgeous peachy blush, I would highly recommend this one. I think the powder itself is quite reasonably priced and this set seems even better a deal.

Thanks for being here. What do you think of Guerlain bronzers? Do you think they are worth the hypes?
