Chanel Les 4 Ombres 372 Bouquet Ambré

Chanel Les 4 Ombres Bouquet Ambré (372) is one of the two eyeshadow quads that did not make it to the U.S. shores. Despite knowing that the brick brown color story wouldn't be the best on my complexion, I couldn't stop thinking about it so I ended up ordering one from a Hong Kong website. The price was quite reasonable plus it shipped free so I can't really complain that it took quite a long time to get here. Now, it's gone even from the site where I ordered from and I can only spot a few on eBay.

Bouquet Ambré is indeed a beautiful quad. There is something very special about these warm rich browns with terracotta undertones. The 3 browns may look similar to each other but they have different textures (matte, satin, and metallic), which makes the palette versatile in its own way.

These baked eyeshadows are totally different animals from the new Allure et Éclat quad (reviewed). All shades feel creamy and apply very smoothly. The color payoffs are great. These pigmented eyeshadows last for many hours even when I don't use an eyeshadow primer.

It's a shame that this beautiful eyeshadow palette has become hard to find. You can still get it from a few eBay sellers if you don't mind the markups as much. Or, the 2 eyeshadow quads from the fall/winter collection, Candeur et Provocation (reviewed) and Candeur et Seduction seem to have the similar nuances.
