Chanel Le Blanc 2021 | Perles et Éclat de Chanel Collection and Duo de Camélias

Chanel Le Blanc 2021 collection swatches

Chanel's Le Blanc collection is typically for the Asian market and the U.S. doesn't always receive everything in the collection. However, this year Perles et Éclat de Chanel collection has arrived in the U.S. earlier than the Asian launch date. I picked up just a few pieces from the collection plus the marvelous Duo de Camélias highlighter duo.

Les 4 Ombres 374 Allure et Éclat ($65, Chanel)

This isn't like any Chanel eyeshadow quads that I own, To me, the textures feel like a hybrid of powder and cream. It reminds me of Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill or Charlotte Tilbury Jewel Pots although the Chanel goes on much sheerer. There is no inner cover included in this quad but I think Chanel should have because these eyeshadows feel almost wet.

The color payoffs are subtle yet clear and luminous, which I think perfectly suits the theme of the collection.

Pigmentation is definitely on the sheer side except for the deepest burgundy satin shade, so I don't think Allure et Éclat is for everyone although I myself love the ethereal effects.

Rouge Coco 498 Éclat ($40, Chanel)

There are several lip colors in this collection but Rouge Coco Éclat stood out to me. It's an intense pink with subtle pink/burgundy shimmer.

I was reminded how much I adored this classic lipstick formulation from Chanel. Rouge Coco is even more hydrating than I remembered and feels so comfortable on the lips. Éclat is brightening yet very sophisticated. I love it.

Duo de Camélias Highlighter Duo ($70, Chanel)

I decided to skip Perles de Lumiere Illuminating Blush Powder because it looked quite deep and warm for my complexion. Instead, I got Duo de Camélias and I couldn't be happier with my choice!

When Duo de Camélias came out as Chanel's Black Friday special in 2019, I didn't pay much attention partly because I don't like that Chanel flaunts limited-edition makeup at full price when everyone else offers steep discounts. (I mean, it's Black Friday!) Plus, the stock photo on the website looks quite blah, to be honest with you.

In real life, it is stunning! There are so many details in the gorgeous camellia embossings and the multi-dimensional shimmers are out of this world. The finishes are quite sparkly, so this highlighter wouldn't be ideal if you like your highlighter subtle and fluid. I myself like highlighters with strong effects so I love Duo de Camélias. It is still available on the Chanel website. Run and grab one for yourself before it's gone forever!

  1. I love the eyeshadow colours, especially the burgundy shade. I doubt I'd be able to pull it off, but it looks great against your skin tone.

  2. Hi, gorgeous pictures! Is there an eye primer you recommend? Really having problems with the pink on my older lids. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

    1. Hi! Thanks for checking out my post! I am currently using Bobbi Brown eyeshadow primer in the light color. If you find your lids are on the drier side, maybe an eye primer isn't a must. And, since these eyeshadows are almost like cream, I'd suggest trying them without the primer first. That might solve the problem. Also, they are not meant to be pigmented by design so this way you can enjoy the iridescent finish! I hope this helps. :)
