TOM FORD | Private Rose Garden Collection 2023

Tom Ford usually brings out an interim collection called "Private Rose Garden" in between fall and holiday (Soleil Neige) collections. I had never tried one but this year's collection features an all-matte Eye Color Quad Rose Tease so I was intrigued. (Plus this collection comes in the most chic packaging with soft white matte exterior and black metal trims!) 

I purchased the Rose Tease Eye Color Quad and two Satin Matte Lip Colors. There is Insolent Rose Eye Quad (repromoted) and a limited edition lip oil but I skipped those. This collection may not be best for me since I prefer shimmer eyeshadows over matte ones and almost always go for more contrasting eye looks, but I am enjoying this soft feminine vibe from the collection immensely!

Tom Ford Private Rose Garden Eye Color Quad Rose Tease ($90, Bloomingdale's)

The quad literally consists of various rose colors. The texture is super soft and blurring just like rose petals. Impressive!

These eyeshadows are not super pigmented but I would say they are pigmented enough. They are very finely milled so there are some powder kickups if you dig in rather than tap on but the colors blend effortlessly and the finish is ultra blurring, which I think is the biggest merit of using high-quality matte eyeshadows like these.

Pinky rose tones like these are not exactly best for my personal coloring but they are easy to pull off and look quite flattering on. I can easily use the two medium shades as blushes as well.

Tom Ford Private Rose Garden Lip Color Satin Matte Intimate Rose & Euphoric Rose ($60 each, Bergdorf Goodman)

This is my first time trying the Tom Ford Satin Matte lip color formulation and I like it quite a bit. I've seen some mixed reviews but I don't have any issues at least with the two rosy colors I picked up. I find the formula saturated and quite blurring yet very comfortable on the lips without accentuating lip lines.

Intimate Rose is a soft pinky beige and Euphoric Rose is a deep sultry rose. Both look perfect with the eye quad!
