I am trying out these popular daily hashtags for once, and here goes #ManicureMonday.
I was looking for something bright and cheerful but it didn't feel right. After all, I am not feeling the spring just yet, so I picked up an old favorite, Chanel Particulière. I just remembered that I also have the corresponding eyeshadow quad (Signe Particulier). Maybe I should wear that today, too.
Chanel Pariculière is a rather gloomy putty shade and was all the craze when it came out 10 years ago. It still in production and one of the brand's steady sellers ($28, Chanel). If you don't want to spend $30 on a nail polish bottle, O.P.I. You Don't Know Jacques ($10.50, Ulta) is pretty close. These muddy colors weirdly look posh all year round, in my opinion. I have both but prefer the Chanel because I can get away with one coat!
I used the usual crews like Essie Here To Stay Base Coat ($9, Ulta) and Gel Couture Top Coat ($8.69, Walgreens).
Thanks for looking. It's not just a Monday but #StarWarsDay as well. May the force be with you!

Oh wow what a gorgeous shade! I've never tried Chanel polishes before, but I'd love to as the shades all look so pretty xo

Thanks! I hardly think the Chanel nail polish formula is worth $30 a pop (although it dries very fast) but there are some gorgeous classic shades such as this. :)
DeleteOooo this is a cool color. I am a fan of neutrals thanks for posting!

This will go with all of your fab outfits! :)
DeleteThis colour is gorgeous on you! I gave away all my "crazier" colours before our big move last year, so I only have a few boring neutral nail polishes right now, and yes I do wonder why on earth I did that when I could be enjoying painting my nails interesting colours right now especially when hardly anyone will see lol...
ReplyDeleteI still have some crazier shades in my stash but now my nail polish collection is much smaller since the decluttering I did earlier this year. And, I haven't bought anything new recently. Some bottles are very old but seem to perform okay. Just like you, I end up regretting de-stashing stuff "sometimes", which is why I could never fully onboard with the Kondo methods (she is crazy, if you ask me. LOL)
