Tom Ford Eye Color Quad Honeymoon

My first experience with Tom Ford makeup was a bit of a letdown and I unofficially made up my mind that I would buy again only if there's a really good sale. Well, there were several really good ones lately and now I own a few more Tom Ford makeups including Honeymoon Eye Color Quad. 

This is such a beautiful quad. Now you can find similar warm reddish color stories everywhere but Honeymoon is like the mothership of all. I am not particularly big on these colors for practical reasons (meaning they don't look great on me). But, I found myself keep thinking about this quad so I ended up choosing this over the obviously practical choice, Virgin Orchid.

The famous wet/dry formula doesn't disappoint. All 4 shades go on smoothly with great color payoffs and clarity. I almost never wet my eyeshadows but love the unique sheen and glamour of the baked eyeshadows. This is probably the best baked eyeshadow formulation I've experienced. 

The color theme here is more of a cranberry plum and not as warm as I thought it would be (yay!). If you want a warm brown quad, Tom Ford Body Heat would be a better choice.

The eyeshadow colors were applied on the lightly moisturized skin. The color payoffs are even better over the eyeshadow base.

I am very happy with the quad. The quality is amazing and I find it surprisingly wearable despite that it's slightly out of my comfort zone. I will show a makeup look in my next post! (update: you can see Honeymoon in action here)

I bought mine from Neiman Marcus on sale. Tom Ford Honeymoon quad is currently on sale at Bloomingdales. Across the pond, Tom Ford makeup is always more affordable, though.
