NOTD - Pointy & Glittery

Let me do a quick mid-week post with fewer words here. I am sporting non-red nail polishes this week. And, I went for different nail shapes!

As some of you know, I like shorter squarish nail shapes. I was quite busy for the past couple of weeks and did not have time for a manicure. My nails grow out very fast that I realized that they were long enough to be shaped a little differently this time. Plus I am currently not using any type of creme in jar so I wouldn't have to worry about face creme stuck under my nail tips. However, I couldn't make them super pointy, which would require longer nails to begin with. So you see, a random beauty related decision is just a combination of factors.

I used Essie First Base, Zoya Jules, Butter London Lucy In The Sky (reviewed), and Essie Gel Setter Top Coat, in the same order.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

  1. This is a really pretty mani Lena! The glitter adds a nice touch of glam without being OTT so it works for daytime too. I'm always envious of how your nails look so well maintained and well done. This nail shape looks slender and elegant. I must say super sharp nails scare me since I heard about an acquaintance scratching her cornea while getting dressed O_o

    1. Thank you, Rowena. I only used one coat of the glitter polish because I didn't think I could handle removing full-on glitter nails. And I have to agree with you - sharp nails are dangerous! That cornea story is scary. I'm going back to my usual many shape after this mainly for the hygienic reason, you know. ;)

  2. This is a jazzed up version of spring nude. I haven't worn nail polish in a loooong time, but maybe I'll apply something today now that you have inspired. :)

    1. Hi, Liz!! Reading your comment, I just realized I've been looking at lots of nude polishes (mainly from Nails Inc). I might get a few plus a white polish, too. See? We inspire each other. Hope everything is well with you. Have a nice weekend! <3
