Dior Addict Fluid Stick Plaisir 779

Dior Addict Fluid Stick Plaisir

Dior Addict Fluid Stick Plaisir (779) is one of the three limited edition colors from Dior's new "Tie-Dye" Collection (Summer 2015).
You guys know I LOVE Dior Addict Fluid Sticks (documented here & here), and I've wanted to add a bright pink red like Wonderland to my collection anyway. Plaisir is a bit of a deviated choice (also swayed by the fact it is an LE) yet close enough that I probably won't get Wonderland for comparison, but we will see. (It would be nice if somebody can actually confirm they are very close. Please?)

This is more of a swatch + look post since I covered the formulation and the wear in my previous posts. Plus less words are more desirable for a midweek post, wouldn't you agree? :)

What can I say? Dior Addict Fluid Stick Plaisir is quite the pleasure to have on my lips. :)

I bought mine here (currently my absolute favorite place for higher-end makeup shopping).
You can also see all three limited edition shades' swatches and overall looks here.

Hope you enjoyed this short post!

  1. So pretty! Looks perfect for summer. :)

I haven't thought too hard about the fluid sticks but recently received one as a gift. Going to have to try to make up my mind about it, haha.

    1. I'm excited to hear about your thoughts on the range! People seem to think there are dupes for Fluid Stick, but personally I haven't really seen a close one formula wise.
I'm glad Plaisir has a hint of warm hues which makes it more suitable for the season. They all tend to turn warmer and redder on my lips but I'm not complaining. :)

  2. Wow this is stunning on you! I was just in Sephora yesterday and switched a bunch of these, such pretty colors on my hand but the pigmentation scared me away to my shy tinted-lip-balm corner. I'm going to work on this fear... (maybe a mid-year resolution)!

    1. Since you're feeling adventurous, go for a bright coral/pink/red! It is very pigmented but still closely adhered to the lips for a more natural effect. Plus it fades away very prettily, if that makes sense. :)

  3. So bright and lovely! I love how you paired it with smoky eyes, Lena. Your skin is looking flawless!

    1. Aw, thank you, Lily! My camera and the bright soft box lighting work maybe too well to a point that misleads, I think. ;p
I've been wearing neutral smoky eyes with bright lips a lot lately. Easier and quicker. :)

  4. Ooh, my kind of shade! Love a good sheer pinky red, especially for summer. I can see why you love the formula so much and Plaisir is gorgeous on you :)

    1. Thank you. I'm a big fan of hybrid lip tints with hydrating sensation. I really like the YSL Glossy Tints and L'Oreal dupes as well. Fluid Stick is a creamier version, imho. :)

  5. Oh this is sooo gorgeous! With so many dupes out from innisfree, maybelline and more I really would skip this from Dior but I would totally love their addict gloss or a lipstick! I think this shade is quite unexpected. I thought it would be simply a cherry red but I love that slight hot pink undertone it gives off!

    1. Thank you, Sharlynn. :)
I'd be interested in hearing about innisfree dupes, because I haven't really seen a close dupe of the range, at least not from what I can easily access in North America.
Dior Addict lipstick and lipgloss are both very nice. Love them as well. :)

  6. Wow Plaisir looks so so so pretty on you!!! It is the kind of red you can wear on daily basis, not so loud but enough for a statement :)

I love Plaisir for the exact reasons you just said. Also it is a very complex shade. From the online image it looked like almost a stale magenta, but in person it looks very lively. :)

  7. Sooo beautiful! Wonderland was the shade that caught my eye when the Fluid Sticks came out last year, so I swatched it the first chance I got, and Plaisir does look very similar to it. I don't think you need both. :)

    1. Oh, thank you, AB! :D
From what I have experienced from the range, they all tend to turn warmer and deeper to a point where everything looks too similar to each other. Shades like Plaisir also pull more red on me.
Anyway, I was planning to compare Plaisir to Wonderland in person, but maybe it would be wise not to. ;p

  9. Hey Lena, I don't own both, but Plasir does look fairly similar to Wonderland! Absolutely stunning shade on you. Great pick!

    1. Whew, thanks for telling me that, Sunny! :D
I also compared it to another color I have, Vertigo, and found they look different "enough". We all know how much a relief that is, right? ;)

Looks amazing on you! It's pretty similar, you don't need both. I like this one better to be honest. And thanks for the link love! You're the best!

    1. My pleasure, Tracy! Actually your post was very helpful for me. When your post was up, I already ordered a Wonderland, but the good folks at Nordstrom helped me to change the order so that I received Plaisir. ;)

  11. That shade of reddish-pink is gorgeous! I love the formulation of the Dior Fluid Sticks too, it was so hard to settle on which one to buy!

    1. I think bright colors really shine in this particular formulation. I do love my "Kiss Me" which is the most flattering pink nude on me, though. Which colors do you find appealing? :)

  12. I think that Wonderland is a bit lighter and brighter, but they look very close. This shade looks gorgeous on you paired with the smoky eyes!

    1. Thank you for the comparison, Lulle! :) I am glad I was able to get Plaisir this time. I might cave in and get Wonderland in the end, though.
The neutral smoky is a real simple one. L'Oreal Voluminous Smoldering liner + Chanel Vega shadow. :)

  13. I have yet to try a Fluid Stick. I know, right? This one is stunning. I'm more intrigued by them now as I noticed in one of your comments you said you have yet to find a dupe for them. I did pick up one of the blushes for the Tie Dye collection though. :-)

    1. Many said Lancome Lip Lover was a dupe, but I totally disagree although I do love the Lip Lover range. To me, Dior Fluid Stick is somewhere in the middle between Lip Lover and YSL Glossy Stain. Hope this helps. Brighter colors really shine in this particular formula.
I'm not big on blush with multiple colors myself, but I have to say those Tie-Dye blushes are gorgeous! :)

    1. I am happy with the color! I think I like it a bit more than anticipated, too. Some people think the formula is sticky, which is somewhat true. Let me know how you like it when you have a chance. :)

  15. Oh YES MA'AM! This is a 100% approved LENA COLOUR! I recently saw Wonderland on a post at The Beauty Dept and WHOA - love. I've never tried a Fluid Stick but I think it's time for a Swatchin' Safari 'round the web! Thanks for linking to Tracy's post, and I second you on the Nordies love!

    1. LOL. Thank you, Kristen! I'm honored!
Wonderland looked warmer from the stock photo and Plaisir maybe a bit too cold, but since the formula turns and deepens on lips, I am thinking Wonderland would have ended up looking red on my lips. On the other hand, Plaisir shows up complex with some warmth. I love it. :)

  16. This is the third lip color I want after reading your reviews (well, the chanel can wait) and too bad they didn't have the collection at sephora yet (I wonder will they carry that collection at all).

    1. Well, that's only fair because I end up wanting all sorts of things reading your posts. ;p
I guess you like to swatch and try in person, and for that, Sephora seems a better place. Hope they soon have the collection on the shelves.
(BTW, The cream cheek arrived today! ^-^)

Hi Lena! I'm Sofia from Potions21 and this is quite funny I've been loving browsing through your blog through the last few days but I think I can't figure out how to put a comment through! (LOL) so now I', trying to comment under my other blog name... see if it works! I'm loving the bright lip and cheek colours you do, they suit you so well. This one is gorgeous and I hope to get some spare time soon to check it out! xx
