Deborah Lippmann My Touch My Kiss Set

Deborah Lippmann My Touch My Kiss Set

I always say "curiosity is overrated" to others as well as to myself. (I mean, have you not regretted answering a phone call from an unknown number, ever?)
Well, I was curious about the new Deborah Lippmann lipstick range, and I did need a new bottle of Deborah Lippmann Naked polish
This time, I can tell you my curiosity has been rewarded, because Deborah Lippmann I'm Every Woman lipstick is excellent, and My Touch My Kiss Set is definitely a handsome way to try both.

Deborah Lippmann My Touch My Kiss Set
Deborah Lippmann My Touch My Kiss Set comes with full-sized I'm Every Woman sheer lipstick and Naked nail polish.

Deborah Lippmann Naked polish
Naked is the quintessential sheer nude polish in my book.
As the warmer weather approaches, it was necessary to grab another bottle of this since I sport sheer nude polishes a lot during these months.

Deborah Lippmann Naked NOTD
Naked is not too pink nor too beige.
Perfection.

Deborah Lippmann I'm Every Woman Sheer Lipstick
The lipstick is housed in a matte square case that is chic and functional if not fancy.

Deborah Lippmann I'm Every Woman swatch
The color is a good mix of beige, pink, and mauve.
This sheer lipstick is scented with a faint vanilla like fragrance much like MAC lipsticks.
It feels quite creamy at the same time.

The result is glossy nude lips.
Most importantly though? It does not wash me out!

Deborah Lippmann I'm Every Woman vs Giorgio Armani 103
I pulled out my other nude lipstick, Giorgio Armani 103 for comparison.

Nude lipstick comparison
It is interesting that 103 is pinker yet it shows up paler and almost browner on my lips that borderline washes me out. I guess it has a lot to do with the fact that 103 has more coverage with less shine.
I like them both, but I find I'm Every Woman is easier to wear.

Here is my attempt for an "All Nudes" look.
I probably won't wear these contacts (NEO Vision Ruby Queen Brown) ever again and will practice more with liquid eyeliners, because Jabba The Hutt. *shudders*

Deborah Lippmann I'm Every Woman lipstick FOTD
(MAC Honey Jasmine Powder Blush saves the day, though.
Stila Tone Eyeshadow is a great mauve-y nude if you are fond of a neutral like MAC Soba eyeshadow but want something with cooler undertones.)

I'm absolutely thrilled with the set and looking into getting another set like Sexy Back Duo (which contains a smaller size polish and a full size lipstick in a stunning magenta creme).

Have you tried the new Deborah Lippmann lipstick range?

  1. LOL at Jabba the Hunt. I think you look lovely with all the warm peachy tones, and your eyeliner looks great! The contacts are a little scary though, hahaha. I love Lippmann Naked, too, and I have always been curious about the lipsticks, since they offer so many sets like this - but I didn't want a dud lipstick :P Good to know!

    1. Aw, thanks! Because I didn't want to wear dark smokey in this look, I decided to amp it up by supersizing the iris and adding thick eyelines, which obviously backfired. LOL. The blush really brings everything together, though! :)
I know DL lipstick comes in opaque finish as well and will update once I try it. So far, it is a solid A- in my book. :)

  3. Came by to check out more photos for this set! The lipstick is so pretty! I used up this benefit lipstick in Skinny Dip but need a new nude lipstick now! It's always hard to find the right one because most washes me out.

    1. Hey Angela, thanks! :)
I've heard nice things about Skinny Dip. I think I'm Every Woman would work on my different skin tones. It is quite sheer and glossy that natural lip colors show through.

  4. ooh this lippie goes so well with your blush!! I have a lot of trouble with liquid liner, always takes me a long time, and usually the two sides don't match hehe and I correct back and forth until it's close enough :)

    1. I still need to practice a lot with liquid eyeliners since I don't wear them as much. I usually go with a pencil type or skip it. So it takes a long time for me, too! ;D Actually Lancome Artliner was quite easy to use, to think about it. ;)

  5. OOO hey, I didn't even know they make lipsticks! I think we only get nail polishes here. I claim I am not big on nude nails, but I've been wearing nude nail polishes a lot recently! My favorites are Dior Lili and Dior Yacht. Not big on nude lipsticks in general (that hasn't changed!), but there are a couple of shades I can pull off if I pair them right ;)

    1. It is relatively new! I'm glad I've decided to try her lipstick. I want to try more. And to tell you the truth, I wasn't a big fan of her polishes but now I like them a lot!
I tend to wear more colorful clothes with prints in summer, so love nude polishes with my outfits. :)

  6. LOL. I don't think you're at Jabba level but I understand it might have seemed that way in person to you. I have Naked and love it, although I'm not always up for the three coats challenge. It really is a perfect nude though!

    1. LOL. Thanks, Liz! The difference in color contacts are usually subtle since we are talking about 0.02 mm in diameter for example, but the outcome is always huge. I don't want to wear anything too big any more. They kind of make me look expressionless. ;-/
BTW, that base coat I got from DL recently solves that issue. Two coats works! :)

The sheer glossy finish of this lipstick really helps. I think this will work on many others, too. :)

  8. You look just as lovely in nude makeup, Lena! I'm so glad to hear the lipstick doesn't wash you out although I bet it would be a totally different story on me! :(

I really don't see anything wrong about the eyeliner or contact lens here. Am I missing something? :/

    1. Awwwww, thanks, Jaa!! I still need some practice with liquid liners (and maybe some meditation for steady hand) ^-^;
I think this nude lipstick will work beautifully on you as well. I can't do anything too slippery or too opaque, but this one is a perfect medium and feels great on. :)

  9. Oooh, looks like a perfect duo of sheer, flattering nudes! Both are lovely on you. I've yet to try anything from Deborah Lippmann, but have been tempted by so many of her shades! :)

Deborah Lippmann actually does super fancy glitters so well. I admire how unique they are but it's usually painful to remove any glitter polish. I'm glad to find out her other polishes and lippies are good quality. :)

  10. This lipstick shade is a STUNNER! I'd like to think that my super rosey lips won't show through too much with a shade like this because the shade is so gorgeous! I think it's seriously a perfect natural looking nude, not too brown, or pink or light! And that blush you paired it with is perfect, it goes very well with the lip color too!

    1. Thanks, Sharlynn. I'm very happy about this purchase! :)
I personally think semi-sheer formula in nude color plays a quite important role in natural looking lips unless you're actually aiming for a concealer nude kind. I am sure this will look very pretty on your pretty lips!

Many people talk about puppy and alien when it comes to oversized contacts, but I always think of Jabba. LOL
