FOTD - Red, The One Color Drama

I had a busy summer which passed by rather quickly.
It was a short summer since I did not get to wear all my summer dresses.
(I am not entirely sure if the summer was short or I have too many dresses, but I think the former, yeah. ;))

While I feel a little sad about the season gone, the different smell in the air puts me in the mood for different colors and looks.
I don't know why I feel that I need to find a reason to wear reds. Probably because red is not the best color on me..

Well, let's just say I wanted to wear a red lipstick for some reason. A matte one, too.

Review - JitterBug from AngelContacts.com

As an avid user of devices like Clarisonic cleanser and Sonicare toothbrush, I have become a believer of the "sonic" technology.
I mean, in my not-so-scientifically-trained mind, things get cleaned better if you add "vibrations".

I have worn circle/color contacts for close to two years now, wearing them safely is a more important issue than ever.
I always try to clean my contacts effectively, so I was very excited to try this vibrating circle lens cleaning device called "JitterBug" offered from AngelContacts.

Review - GEO Fresh Brown from AngelContacts.com

For some reason, brown circle lens never really worked for me.
They are meant to be natural and innocent looking like the girls from K-dramas, but I often end up looking like a soulless alien (;o)
So naturally I was a bit hesitant to choose Fresh Brown contacts when AngelContacts.com offered a sponsorship.
(I received two pairs of my choice to review plus a cleaning device called JitterBug which I will talk about in the future posts.)

I am happy to report to you, despite of my concerns about single colored brown lenses, that the Fresh Brown works for me very nicely.
I even see why this particular design is popular among Korean celebrities since it is very natural yet dolly without requiring any amp-up on your makeup.

Swatch, FOTD - L'Oreal Colour Riche Caresse Lipstick Blushing Sequin

While I thought it was an excellent drugstore lipstick after I tried the Rose Taffeta from the same range, I didn't run out to buy another color probably because I was more into the Wet Shine Stains.

Normally a bright pink coral color like Blushing Sequin would not draw my attention especially in a lipstick form, but lemmings can come from anywhere. I was just browsing through some random beauty bloggers' pics on Instagram and saw this - not even a clear picture - and I had to have it in the name of curiosity, of course.

Tutorial - Simple 3 Minute Smokey Eyes

This is my daily eye makeup look only varying in colors and maybe a little bit in depths, which I would like to call "the lazy girl's smokey eyes".
Honestly though, my skill hasn't really improved for years because this has been working so well for me. :)

I must say it was quite difficult for me to shoot step-by-step pictures, and I have become more appreciative towards many beauty bloggers out there who provide beautiful and clear pictures for us.
(I apologize for the uneven tones and colors in the pics. I hope I would get better next time.)
