I did not wear these often during the summer because it feels quite heavy and the color never really sets. But now it is undeniably autumn here and the ultra-moisturizing formula actually works in favor, so I decided to add another one to my little collection.
L'Oreal Colour Riche Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick
Rouge Allegro (303)
I have been sporting red lippies more often lately and acquiring a few new colors, too. They are mostly sheer formulas with muted shades that "look red but not quite in your face".
Rouge Allegro is one of them, and it is easy to wear although it is bright and cheery. I guess it is all about the right combination of color and formulation, because I don't suppose I can pull off a color like this if in full strength.
The fuzzy applicator work very well to distribute the color evenly on the lips.
No double-dipping is necessary.
Rouge Allegro is a pinkish red creme with a hint of warmth.
The lip-smoothing effect is indeed "extraordinaire".
You can easily achieve (relatively) wrinkle-free lips with luscious color.
An overall look with Rouge Allegro
If you like full coverage lip gloss (although it is categorized as lipstick) that is not tacky at all, do check them out. L'Oreal Extraordinaire is not exactly long lasting but brighter colors like Rouge Allegro tend to leave a very pretty stain behind. The moisturizing texture is ideal for the colder months. I happen to not mind the scent but please note that it is heavily fragranced.

Beautiful as always, Lena! I saw these at Target the other day and thought of you! I also thought of picking up Plum Adagio, but then I decided I had enough vampy lipglosses, lol.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Larie. <3
DeleteIt is about time I try Maybelline Color Elixir, which always makes me think of you. LOL
I want some nude/neutral that doesn't wash me out. ;)
I have Purple Prelude now (for which I blame you, lol) and yeah, the scent and slightly thicker texture kind of makes me want to not get any more. But I still look at them whenever they go on sale because the colours look so darn pretty. This one is gorgeous against your complexion!
ReplyDeleteHaha. I will take the blame. ;p
DeleteI do wish the scent was lighter but still prefer this over sugary sweet fragrance. This boozy floral somewhat has this de-appetizing effect, too. LOL
So pretty on you Lena! I haven't tried these yet. I must check them out when they go on sale, especially the reds. I can't pull off in your face reds either anymore, so something like this would be perfect I think.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tracy. ;)
DeleteIf you don't think you'd mind the scent, do give them a try. One of the most moisturizing lippies from d/s range, imho.
this is one gorgeous shade! you should wear red more often,Lena <3
ReplyDeletebtw, I just put another sephora order, couldn't decide which Koh Gen Do foundation I should take, and went for the loose finishing powder instead *fingercrossed*
I'm liking this more than I expected, too. ;D It looks like in Europe there is a shade called Rouge Soprano which I wanted but of course is not available in the U.S. *sighs* That one is pretty close to Rouge Allegro, though. ;)
Deletethese sound really nice, but some scents drive me nuts! guess i'd have to try it to see if it would bother me. i like the purple prelude and nude ballet colors from the collection.
ReplyDeleteIt is all about what kind of scents tick you off, but it is true that Extraordinaire has this strong scent. I don't know what they were thinking, really. Other than that, it is pretty great. :)
DeleteI've been hearing a lot of great things about these, they sound really lovely! This particular shade is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteTasha // shiwashiful.
We are fortunate to have more of nice drugstore goodies. Extraordinaire is certainly one of them. I'm really enjoying the shade. :)
DeleteOh this looks like the Lunasol gloss that I used up! Very pretty on you, Lena. Makes your lips look so juicy :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lily!
DeleteI'm into these off-red colored lippies. Rouge Allegro is one of them. ;)
Ooo, what a pretty color. And I love how plush they make your lips look!
ReplyDeleteExtraordinaire is really moisturizing and plumping minus that irritation. Perfect for fall and winter! :)
DeleteWhat a gorgeous glossy pink! Super pretty on you and the formula sounds great :)

Thank you, Jen. It is quite excellent. I love it, too. :)
DeleteThis looks freaking fabulous, I love love the glossiness and the full even color! I love non tacky formulas and have no problems with reapplication if needed!
ReplyDeleteThese do wear off over time but leave no blotchiness behind, which makes reapplication much easier.
DeleteFeels really nice on lips, too. :)
such pretty shade on you, so envy of you, can rock all kinds of shades. You should wear this more often, not just the fall. Think this one is good all year round.
ReplyDeleteIt is not true but certainly appreciated, Brenda. I cannot pull off many warm colors. ;)
DeleteI'm embracing more colors with both undertones, though. Rouge Allegro is a pink red but it looks warm, too.
Wow talk about bright colors! :) I like this type of lipstick formula, too. Who wouldn't want luscious lips! :D I haven't tried this one yet but I have been loving the Maybelline Color Elixirs. Have you tried those?
ReplyDeleteI've heard lots about the Maybelline Color Elixirs. They are supposed to be quite similar to each other. It seems the Maybelline ones have more of wearable shades, too. Love these soft and plush formulas on lips for colder months! :)
DeleteAgreed. These formula are the best for cold weather. Time to ditch the mattes! Haha.
DeleteI have never been comfortable wearing mattes although I adore how chic it looks on other bloggers. I usually favor light water based stains like L'Oreal Wet Shine Stain or YSL Glossy Stain, but the Extraordinaire or Color Elixir would be winter alternatives. ;)
DeleteI've been following your "Extraordinaire" series and am telling myself I don't need anymore lip products! Glad you found these and shared them - I'll swatch them the next time I'm in store!
ReplyDeleteNow I'm interested in the Maybelline Color Elixir which is supposed to be very similar. Hope I don't start Color Elixir series. ;o
DeleteThey are really great even to compare to higher-ends. :)
Beautiful color is just like you~

Thank you. You're so sweet, Raimar. :)
DeleteI need to check this color out since I am I am slowing getting into these rosy colors (finally letting orange and coral go...eh). It's nice to know that the formula is wet as well (L'Oreal gloss stain is great at amplifying my lip lines).
ReplyDeleteP.S. You have such a silky voice, I like....
Hi Mina :)
DeleteI think you'd like this color. Although it is cool toned red, it also looks a bit warm. "Rosy" is quite an apt word. I actually really like the L'Oreal stains, but these Extraordinaire do feel much more comfortable on lips.
And thanks so much for listening! Judging by your blog name, maybe you're a violinist or a fan of violin music? I used to hear lots of Wieniawski music played by my school mates. Kind of miss that. :)
