NOTD | Deborah Lippmann Gel Lab Pro Like A Rolling Stone

Deborah Lippmann Gel Lab Pro Like A Rolling Stone swatch

I have a quick Monday Manicure post with Deborah Lippmann Gel Lab Pro "Like A Rolling Stone", which is a part of the "Rockstar" set that I recently reviewed.

As I mentioned in my review post, I am not entirely happy with the formula because I don't particularly find it shinier nor longer-lasting than any other decent nail formulation out there. Although not a bad formula, it gets thick quickly so I need to gently shake the bottle between applications.

Like A Rolling Stone is an amazing color, though. I'd say it is a perfect lovechild of purple and grey, understated but never boring. It works nicely as a transitional shade into the new season. I mean, it's too early for full-blown vamps but I'm ready for something moody on my nails.

I don't think this shade is available in a full-size bottle which is $20 for 0.5 oz., but the Rockstar set comes with 5 of 0.27 oz bottles at $29 and is still available on Nordstrom.com.

Thanks for looking. Wish everyone a great week!

  2. Pity about the formula overall, because I really love the colour. It's so beautiuful. I also don't it like when nail varnish gets thick too quickly. :) Wishing you a lovely weekend.

    1. I buy Deborah Lippmann for her unique colors and the naming gimmicks mainly. LOL. Jokes aside, there are some really unique colors you can find. I prefer Essie Gel Couture formula in terms of hybrid gel colors. :)

  3. I love this color! The first Chanel nail polish I purchased was particuliere and was a darker version of this color. It really is the perfect transitional shade and it's such a shame the formula is meh.

    1. Oh, I adored Particuliere and used my bottle up. And, there was the Revlon dupe I still keep. There is something about these mirky purple and grey, isn't it? Just perfect for the season. :D
