Revlon Cream Blush Flushed, Coral Reef & Mini Giveaway

A while ago it seemed Revlon Cream Blush range was being discontinued because I didn't see them from the local drugstore display anymore and even Lisa Eldridge was saying that she needed some help finding backups for her kit. And that's when I found these two gorgeous shades Flushed ( This is Ms. Eldridge's fave) and Coral Reef from a discount store.
I think I would have passed on these blushes regardless how affordable they were if it weren't for Lisa Eldridge's recommendations, but it is a good thing that I picked them up. The colors are pretty but not extremely pigmented and easy to work with, which is just perfect for cream blush beginners like me.
Maybe Revlon has decided to keep the range after all. Now you can find them from major retailers as well as various online stores again (at a full price). Do you think this might be Ms. Eldridge's influence? Quite possible.

(If you are to buy them in store, pick up one that's marked "cream blush" with gold logo on. If it says "PhotoReady" with white logo, that is the previous version.)

Both colors look blazing from the pan, but they give you a sheer realistic glow that is still brightening. Blending is almost too easy probably because of the high silicone content. I think the formula would work on any skin type because it is not greasy nor drying. It is not the longest lasting kind, but touch-up is just as easy as the initial application.

Now let me show you how they look on me in context.

At the conclusion of this post, I'd like to host a teeny tiny giveaway because I was able to secure a few more of these.

All you need to do is to leave a comment that does not contain any link. Such comments will forfeit the whole entry.
Of course, I would love to connect with you so there are additional ways you can enter following via various channels, but nothing is mandatory and I won't collect any information for the verification purposes (except for your email address because I need to contact you if you win).
It is open internationally, and one random winner chosen by the Rafflecopter will receive Revlon Cream Blush Flushed & Coral Reef.
This giveaway will run for one week until 12:00 AM EST October 21, 2015.
Good luck! :)

    1. Awww Raimar, thank you so much! :D
Flushed is a color I feel more comfortable to wear, generally speaking. I was surprised to see how easy it is to pull off Coral Reef on the other hand. The easy-to-blend texture is everything. :)

  2. They're both stunning on you + all your photos are so Instagram-worthy! Quick question since they almost look tinted lip balmy... have you tried them on your lips? Maybe this is stupid.

    1. Hahaha, thank you, Joan! ;D
Most of the time I am aided by soft box lighting which makes skin look so much better than what it is.
To answer your question (not stupid at all), the finish is quite dry on the lips (I did try it) so unless you're going for that effect I wouldn't recommend using it on lips. Canmake cream blush on the other hand, makes a great tinted lip balm, by the way. :)

  3. Hey Lena, they are beautiful! Both look really nice on you ^^
I don't really pay attention to Revlon blushes in general as their powder blushes didn't really work for me. But I will make a note to check these cream blush out. Lisa Eldridge approved?? Sure I need to try, she's my make up Goddess ! xD

    1. I agree that their powder blushes are on the underwhelming side. I think they are great for blush beginners, though. The pigmentation is sheer and it is very easy to blend, so it is hard to go overboard with them.
I really like Lisa Eldridge as well if not worship her. Her videos are pretty much the only thing I watch, and I usually find watching YouTube videos quite challenging. :)

  5. *not entering* These cream blushes never made it here. At all! I wonder what these people at Revlon are thinking sometimes.

    1. Ah, Revlon does weird marketing and makes decisions that are not so smart, like ALL THE TIME. I've practically lost interest in their makeup ever since Gucci Westman left the company (same thing goes only in the opposite way with Lisa Eldridge & Lancome). ;)

    2. Ah yes, I've never been interested in Lancome until now. Teehee! The Eldridge power :-)

  6. These colors are definitely much less garish blended out on the cheeks than in the packaging and I love how you paired them with a touch of highlighter! I'm not entering since I adore my RMS Lip2Cheek cream blushes but good luck to everyone!

    1. Thanks for your comment, Rowena!
I myself still prefer Canmake cream cheeks because now I'm into dewy finish, but it definitely gives me some varieties in terms of cream blush. They are very easy to use, which is a huge plus. :)

  7. Oh wow, these are back in stores?! I agree with you that it might be Lisa Eldridge's influence or we can hope it is. LOL! And thank you so much for the giveaway! I entered and followed you on all with the exception of Feedly, I don't have that and quite frankly I have no idea what it is. I live under the rock....

ps: OMG, you skin is freaking flawless! What do you use?! *insert heart eyes emoji*

    1. Thank you so much for entering and following, Shireen! Don't worry about Feedly at all! I've recently started subscribing on Feedly because it is much reliable than Bloglovin', for example.

And thanks for your compliment on my skin. My recommendation would be "get a lighting aid and a camera that blurs complexion". Honestly, my skin isn't all that! ;D

  8. I'm not entering either, but I remember liking the coral one I had! But I prefer the Stila ones. I agree-probably because Lisa loved them they are back!

    1. Stila convertibles are great cream blushes! I didn't like the slightly tacky feels when I have them many years ago, but things are different now. I don't mind some dewiness nowadays!

    1. Ahahaha, Larie! That's hilarious, but probably so true!! ;D ;D ;D
I still think the full price of these is a bit too much. They should market this under-10-bucks, in which case they would have never had to pull it off to begin with.

  11. *not entering* These look great on you! I would have never picked them up either. I love the Shiseido cream blush, but it's taking forever to even make a dent.

It would be very difficult to use any of the pots I have. They are huge, and I only need a very little each time. ;p

They look amazing on you sweetie :) Revlon is a brand that I truly miss. We used to have it here a few years ago but then all of a sudden it was discontinued for some reason :/

I was just talking about the marketing mishaps of Revlon. They pulled out of Korea twice before. It's really about the general preference in specific markets, but it always seems that their price point is off mark. It is a great drugstore brand, though!

I think I am good with cream blush for a while since I feel pretty content with my small collection. These are certainly very easy to use and foolproof! :)
