It seems the "chubby stick/crayon" trend in makeup is still going strong as I see almost every brand has one out by now. I myself have been paying attention to other types of hybrids like liquid lip colors or gloss stains.
This was one of those impulse buys that I forced myself into, because I couldn't possibly pass up the BOGO 50% sale (which happens every other week, btw).
I guess I was curious to see what the hype was about the (relatively) new Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm myself.

I have been sporting bright lip colors a lot lately, but I still feel most comfortable wearing sweet pink lips paired with dark smoky eyes.
Revlon ColorBusrt Lip Butter Strawberry Shortcake is one of those perfect pale pink for my light neutral complexion.
I am pretty much over Revlon Lip Butters and have not been reaching for them except for the Strawberry Shortcake, which makes me think it deserves a separate post.
You can find a collective swatch post on Revlon Lip Butters here.

When I ran out of my favorite sunscreen, I remembered this old favorite of mine and went for another bottle instead of waiting for a week for delivery.
Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion+ SPF 50+ is locally available and it has proven to be superior in protection. I mean, this stuff had protected me from the Mexican sun before.
This is one of the most cost efficient sunscreens from a high-end brand since you get 3.4 oz for less than $40.
However, Shiseido Ultimate Protection Lotion is not for everybody. It clearly has its shortcomings, too.

Three lippie reviews in a row is against my blogging rules, but I really wanted to share my initial thoughts on these new Revlon Moisture Stains that I just got this afternoon.
This is not going to be a full review. A look post and more details will follow later on.

L'Oreal Never Lacque-ing is an opaque nude beige polish with a hint of grey/mauve undertone.
A very modern and posh choice for the warmer months if you ask me.

There are many different opinions about this new hybrid from Dior, but I must say I am a fan.
I've become to like it even more since my first Fluid Stick (reviewed here), which is why I ended up purchasing another one soon after.
This time I went with a deeper and brighter shade called "Vertigo".

While finding a couple of new stars like Dior Addict Fluid Stick (reviewed here) and LancĂ´me Lip Lover (reviewed here), I also have been adding more colors to my exiting favorites. The more I think about it, having color varieties in the preferred formula makes more sense. That is, of course, if buying more lippies ever makes sense in my situation.
(Ahem,) so I bought another color after my satisfactory experience with L'Oreal Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick in Pink Tremolo (reviewed here).

Getting enough shuteye is one of the most basic and important things for me in skincare. It always seems that my skin looks dull and lackluster with less sleep. Unfortunately, I experience that way too often due to my irregular schedule, so naturally my interest was piqued when I heard about this new gel hydrating moisturizer from Olay.
Olay Fresh Effects {Dew Over!} Hydrating Gel Moisturizer
It is supposed to instantly energize and invigorate skin.
No Sleep Required! :)
