Review - Radical Skincare Instant Revitalizing Mask

I have been testing quite a few facial masks lately, and I must say Radical Skincare Instant Revitalizing Mask is hands down the most interesting one that I've tried up to date.

Radical Skincare Instant Revitalizing Mask

"Fun" is the word that comes to my mind first as I'm trying to describe this revolutionary product, which may be an unusual adjective for a mask with anti-aging benefits.
It is because of its unique form and how it transforms on face once it is applied.

Here is the product description on Sephora, but I think it is best to watch this short video to see what it does (and how it does). ;)

(Seriously, it's fun to watch all the foam disappearing from the face!)

The pump comes up and goes back neatly when you turn the upper silver part of the bottle.

At first, this slightly golden serum with shimmer comes out.
It is scented with a mild yet refreshing citrus fragrance mainly from the ingredients.

In seconds, it starts to foam up giving some fun sensation to skin.

And it turns into fine white foams.
I think this is somewhat heat activated, and it foams more evenly and densely on my face than on my arm.
Then with mild tickling sensation, the foams start to disappear from your face gradually.

It gives such a fun and interesting feeling that I even get motivated to use it more often.
Honestly, this mask brings out a little girl in me cause I was giggling when I first tried this.
(No need to worry about those cracks from laughing cause it is not that kind. ;p)
I even thought this mask would be nice to bring along to a girls' pajama party or something!

It seems to be doing its thing - revitalizing, cause my skin feels soft and more awake after mere ten minutes with it.
You're supposed to use it on cleansed dry skin and wash it off after, which leaves your skin feeling very clean and refreshed.
I was a little surprised to see the Instant Revitalizing Mask is on the light side cause I expected some conventional moisturizing mask with heavier texture.

I spot good anti-oxidant ingredients like green coffee, grape seed extract and Vitamin E, and it's been a positive run since I started using this twice a week or so.
It is kinda rare for me to consistently use a facial mask mainly because I am lazy for a beauty blogger and hate any hassle (you will never hear me saying that I whipped up some facial mask from raw ingredients no matter how great they may be).
So the effectiveness of the mask aside, this fun and easy application and aftercare (I just need to wash it with warm water as it lathers and cleanses away, then follow with moisturizer) enables me to use it more often, which leads to a better result.
I also like that I get instant gratification of seeing more radiant face in such a short time with very little effort.

Do try this. It is really fun and good. ;-)
Radical Skincare Instant Revitalizing Mask is available at Sephora.

  1. By the looks of it, it reminds me a bit of Missha Super Aqua Oxygen Micro Essence Peeling (weird name, I know) - it also applies like a serum/gel and then bubbles/foams upon contact with the skin. It was a strange sensation the first time I tried it - kind of like popping candy on your face. This Radical mask sounds fun to use and it seems to do what it claims! :)

    1. Oh, you got me interested to look at the Missha version of this now. Not just Missha, but why do they have to have such long names anyway..?
I did suspected it might be something just gimmicky, but I'm glad to see the mask works very well too. :)

  2. Sounds and looks like a very unique skin care product! I would have too much fun just watching it bubble and disappear but I am glad that it does give results besides being something so unique. I've been using a bunch of different vegetable/fruit essence face masks recently for my radiance boost!

    1. I could use more of veggies and fruits in my beauty life, not just in cosmetics of course! :)
Yeah, it is seriously fun to use and literally drives me mask more!

  3. It reminds me of the Bliss oxygen foaming mask (which I had and felt did nothing...) BUT I am intrigued by the disappearing foam! I demand a Lena demonstration on YouTube STAT! >:D

    1. I didn't know Bliss had one like this!
I've tried making videos with other things, but it is really difficult not too mention time consuming. After trying that, I vowed not to complain about the overall shitty quality of many videos. LOL

    2. The Bliss one comes out like a gel but bubbles up on the face without you having to lather it. It's fun but seriously does nothing. I was surprised when Lisa Eldridge mentioned it in one of her recent vids.

And I totally respect YTers who make great videos. I know all about the shitty quality you speak of, LOL.

    3. The bubbles/foams are actually from a very mild form of sulfate which alarmed me at first, but I feel the active ingredients does work effectively and the sulfate only helps the fun factor plus the wash after.
I just watched that video. Can you believe that was my first time watching her video? ;d

  4. Like Liz said, it's like that Bliss one! Neat! I love masks-for awhile I was masking every other day, but have gotten out of the habit. It makes a HUGE difference when you mask consistently. Must start again!

    1. I agree with you. I've been complaining about the current condition of my skin, but maybe I need to take a few extra steps to cope with it especially in this crazy winter. It is the laziness that I need to combat with first! :)

  5. huh. it defs sounds fun! i almost want to try this on the bf. lol i think it would be pretty hilarious and i /always/ think his skin could do with a bit of caring.

i like liz's demand for a youtube demo. i'd be down with that too.

    1. Try this together! That would be a fun date night. Plus boys like all things cool and a little gimmicky, too! ;D
I already know how difficult it is to make a decent video (you make it look like a breeze somehow, so please don't expect to see my video anytime soon! ;p

  6. You had me at instant revitalizing Lena! The citrus scent and the way it foams up reminds me of the Bliss Triple Oxygen Energizing Mask. I'll have to put this one on my list. I've been doing more masks this winter since it's been so cold.

  7. You have me totally sold on this amazing mask. I love watching mask in action and it is more fun to use that way :) I love the GlamGlow mask with the same reasoning that it turns color and you see immediate results. Thanks for the review!

  10. Very interesting! I think Bliss has a foaming face mask as well - but I've never tried it. And you know, I could do with some revitalizing action now and then!

    1. I had this crackling soap/hand sanitizer and this mask kinda reminds me of that, too.
I don't think it really oxygenate the skin but the fun factor is always better especially for someone like me! ;)
