NOTD - OPI Red My Mind!

This is so old.
I don't even know when Red My Mind!  came out or which collection it belongs to.
I mean the application brush is not even "Prowide" (the dreadful!) and I am sure this is not Big 3 free. (It applies like a dream!!!)
Thank God nail polish is a type of paint, it will keep virtually forever if you are equipped with good thinner and store it properly. :)

This is a very happy red.
Definitely orange based but with subtle pink shimmer, it manages to look fine against my skin tone.
(and thanks to the subtlety, it stopped right before gaudiness.)

I am not buying OPI polishes any more since they lost their unique quality in colors and I am personally so sick of those ridiculous polish names (Suzi,  you need to stop putting your name in every collection!), but I will cherish this color for a long time.
It is yet another proof that OPI was once great.

  1. It's a really vibrant red. Looks beautiful on you. I've never been fond of OPI polishes for some reason. You're right about those ridiculous names! Their word plays never sound cute.

  2. love that colour! reminds me of fresh strawberrys and summer, lol :)
so sad that OPI lost their quality. I always wanted to buy some but now that I hear so many bad things I lost the will to spend so much money on one colour that has the same quality like cheap ones that cost 1/4 of it. (OPI is rly expensive in germany-.-) oh you're so right I find so many of their names ridiculous xD

What a beautiful red! I was addicted to OPI for a while but lately have been switching to other brands to try out.

  7. I can see that the quality is much better than cheap make up. It's bright and shiny. Plus the color is pretty.

  8. I love how this looks on you! Strangely enough I still love OPI. I've been going back to the older part of my collection (almost exclusively OPI), and I was reminded of a) how well the brush works and b) how perfect the consistency is (and mine are all big-3 free). I've moved to other brands for the colors, but the pro-wide brush is hard to break up with!

  12. thanks. :D
no, it's not strange. maybe you find more flattering colors from OPI. i know Prowide brush is love or hate. it just doesn't work with my nail shape and i often end up with wonky brushes. lol

  13. the finish is quite unique, it reminds me of hard candy. :)

  14. old OPI collections like France, Russian were really awesome and i still have great respect for them.
nowadays they seem to lack brilliance of the old days. i'd rather spend my money on zoya or butter london.

  15. i admit humbly i am pretty good at painting nails but recently i've found out i am only good with my nails. how selfish is that? ;p

  16. ah if they are overpriced, they are definitely not worth it.
i can actually get them under $5 through some friends but i still don't do it if you know what i mean. ;)

  17. ooh i love your description. strawberries and summer! i like it. ;)
the catrice color you showed us on your blog is fantastic!
OPI is not worth the hyped price if you ask me.
those names are so blah! :-/

  18. yeah. i'd pick essie or zoya any day. ;p
nowadays name playing is common in cosmetic industry or so it seems, but i think OPI ones are quite nauseating(?). ;p

  20. I love that slight shimmer in there! I do have some OPI polishes from before they became 3 free and introduced the new pro-wide brush.. I honestly like the new brushes more! But I find the application is definitely different. The old bottles I have are a thinner consistency and don't dry out as easily.

  21. well now polishes apply and keep better even though they are big 3 free. i mean companies don't have a choice but to improve the formula. lol
you're lucky the new brush work for you. if only that was the case for me! ;)

i guess repeated paintings on my own nails have improved my skills a bit. lol
