Review - NEO COSMO Princess Eyes Purple Violet + FOTD

I fell in love with this particular model when I saw Rosebud143 (on YouTube) 's video and her oh-so-pretty pictures.
It is basically the same design as GEO tri-color Violet. This also has no obvious rings and design of three colors meshed together.
I honestly didn't think they are similar in design when I ordered this NEO Princess Eyes pair, so at first I was very disappointed thinking they are almost identical.
At least they look very much alike from the lens cases.
To my relief however, they look quite different on because this Princess Eyes Purple Violet is much lighter in color and gives much noticeable effects because of it.

It looks almost pale pink. (matches with the pink piggy case ^-^)
Outer ring is cool dark gray and inner part is light brown color.

Review - Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips

I am not much into nail arts or crackle polishes myself although I appreciate creativity and efforts of other fellow nail bloggers and love looking at their NOTD pics. :)
However, I did want to try these to see how they would work for me. I thought it would be an easy solution if I want different looks on my nails without having to spend too much time and effort. ;p

There are 26 different colors and designs available in the core collection plus those Halloween patterns that came out recently.
I picked up No. 360 Laced Up from the drugstore downstairs and paid about $9.50 for it.
The set includes 16 nail strips of different size and shape (packaged again in 2 separate sealed containers), a mini nail file, a short wood stick, and instruction.

NOTD - Misa Toxic Seduction

Today, I felt like wearing Misa's deep shimmery green called "Toxic Seduction".
(It is an amazing shade from the "Poisoned Passion" collection in 2008.)

NOTD Misa Toxic Seduction

I don't really like green colors mainly because they don't love me back, but this is a regardlessly beautiful color that even fetches me compliments sometimes.
It is dark and shimmery -almost teal but not quite- kind of a complex.
This goes on a little thick like many other Misa nail polishes but it is nothing hard to manage. I only needed to apply a careful one coat over Duri basecoat finished with Seche Vite topcoat.

Thanks for looking! :)

Review - GEO tri-color (World Series) Violet

Here is my review for GEO tri-color (aka world series) lenses in violet color.
I believe this is a quite popular model for it's natural design and comfort and you can find them from most sellers for around $20 or so.

item details
Brand: GEO
Origin: South Korea
Water content: 38% - 42%
Diameter: 14.0 mm
Base Curve: 8.4 - 8.6
Duration: 1 year disposable

color/design - 7.5/10
Very nice and natural.
The violet color is neutral, which was a bit of a disappointment to me cause I wanted more noticeable violet/purple. It looks almost hazel under some indoor lighting.
It doesn't have obvious limbal rings and the pigmentation is rather sheer. I don't think it would make significant difference for lighter colored eyes.
My naturally dark brown eyes look brighter and mellow with these on.

comfort - 8/10
Comfortable. I would have given it even higher score if I had not experienced NEO lenses.
They feel still very comfortable and I can wear them up to 8 hrs with no problem.
I am starting to believe the comfort level has a lot to do with the lens diameter as well as the water content.

enlargement effect - 6/10
They don't make your eyes huge nor give they dolly effect. I still see a little bit of enlargement due to the brighter color.

Overall, this is a nice choice if you are into natural looking color lenses and want some change if not drastic.
They allow me to have more fun with makeup (for example, I can wear green eye shadows which usually is no friend of mine.) and I can wear them to work without looking crazy. ;p
However, I think there are better color choices for my current skin tone and hair color. They would look better with lighter brown hair color.
Like the girl here..

Review - NEO Dali Sweet Chocolate Brown + FOTD

I got these as a part of Dali + Lucky Clover deal from koreabigeyes.com. (I believe they still have this promotion.. 2 NEO pairs for $45, is pretty sweet.)

Here is the specs for this lens model.

Brand: NEO
Origin: South Korea
Water content: 45%
Diameter: 14.2 mm effect
Base Curve: 8.6
Duration: 1 year disposable

After I tried GEO magic circle ck-105  and found out to my surprise that I don't really like "circle lenses",I was a little worried about how these would look on me. They are supposed to be very subtle and natural looking but they do have rings, right? Also, I am not so interested in brown colors having brown eyes already. :)

Thank God, I like them very much and reach for them quite often, actually.
These lenses give me the very desired effect, and my eyes look slightly bigger and innocent without making me feel that I have some sort of bug-eyes. The color almost perfectly matches with my natural eye color.

I dub thee my "YEBB (Your Eyes But Better)" lenses, Dali Sweet Chocolate. lol

They are so comfortable just like all the NEO lenses I have tried so far. I am starting to think I prefer NEO brand over GEO although Geo makes tons of interesting designs.

I threw away the original bottles(again), but have some pics for you to show how they look. :)

A close-up of my eye with Dali Sweet Chocolate Brown on
The outer rings are finely dotted, which I believe why they look more natural than my GEO black circle lenses.

(It is ridiculous how you can see the reflection of my camera so clearly. ha ha)

Short review - NEO COSMO 4 tone Lucky Clover Blue + FOTD

I am sad to report that the Lucky Clover Blue contacts look almost same on me as the Lucky Glover Gray ones. ; (
This doesn't mean I don't like them. I still love them very much and even got a few compliments last time when I was wearing them. They are just not dramatically different so I would have more fun, is all.

Please see my review on NEO COSMO 4 tone Lucky Clover Gray for details.

Here is a close-up.

As you see, the color is more of a vibrant blue with some green tinge.
Unfortunately, the difference is hard to see from a distance.

Review, Swatch - mark Lipclick SPF 15 Color Shine Lipstick

I was a big fan of mark sheer lipsticks, so I was totally bummed when they discontinued them.
For a while, mark only had a full color lipstick line, which I can't really dare to try cause full coverage lipcolors usually look terrible(!) on me.
So I was very happy to see they finally introduced this new product with sheer moisturizing formula called Lipclick Color Shine Lipstick. :)
I think the price is now a couple bucks more compared to the old ones. (ah, the art of marketing..)
At least they come in sturdier case that is magnetic so they click together (It is actually a very cool thing.) plus sun protection.

Review - NEO COSMO 4 tone Lucky Clover Gray + FOTD

I have been eyeing on NEO contacts cause I have seen lots of rave reviews about how they are so comfortable with higher water content.
I ordered 4 pairs of NEO from koreabigeyes.com this time and these are one of them.
(I wonder if each seller has different dips for different manufacturers because I see this seller has better deals on NEO brand but with smaller selections of GEO, etc.)
They were having "Dali + Lucky Clover" promotion which is only $45 for 2 pairs, so it was an awesome deal. :)
(I also got Lucky Clover Blue, Dali Chocolate Brown and Princess Eyes Cosmo Purple Violet. Will do separate reviews on them. ;) )

This is what they look like in lens case.
As you see, they are rather blueish color, not exactly gray.
