Haul, Swatch - L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow & Colour Riche Balm SPF 15

I secretly hoped that I would find these highly anticipated Infallible eye shadows before the new year, so imagine how happy I am today to finally find them! :D (another "squeee" moment)
I also saw a display of L'Oreal Colour Riche Balm but I grabbed only one color being a good girl. :)

I wanted to quickly show these to you and share my initial thoughts and swatches. ^-^

clockwise from top left
Bronzed Taupe, Perpetual Purple, Midnight Blue, Golden Sage, Sultry Smoke

Once you unscrew the tightly sealed cap, it looks like this.
There is a plastic presser(?) with handle inside.

Bronzed Taupe
my favorite.
It is absolutely gorgeous.

Sultry Smoke
To me, it looks more of a dirty pigeon kind of color but still nice. ;)
only non-shimmery color out of the bunch.
very very creamy

Perpetual Purple
beautiful medium purple with shimmer
This one feels a tad crumblier compared to other colors.

Golden Sage
surprisingly, my second favorite color.
a green being favorite, that says a lot to me. ;)

Midnight Blue
amazing dark blue with multi-dimensional shimmer.
love it!

Swatches
(swatched with Q-tips)

indoor lighting
(the colors in the same order as above)

indirect natural lighting

L'Oreal Colour Riche Balm SPF 15
Tender Mauve

Tender Mauve is a soft pinkish mauve with tiny silver shimmer.
very natural and flattering color

*My initial thoughts*

The infallible eyeshadows are absolutely amazing!
They are super-pigmented and the wear is unbelievable.
(I haven't worn these on my list yet, but I have a difficult time removing them from my arm after swatching. I usually use baby wipes and this would get the job done, but this time it didn't work at all. I actually had to use cleansing oil and soap.)
Shimmer in these eyeshadows is very interesting and multi-dimensional and darker colors easily can be used as eyeliners.

I am very impressed with Colour Riche Balm as well. I even think this might be better than Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter. ;o
At least the color Tender Mauve feels more moisturizing and the tube looks a bit more high-end to me.
It also provides SPF 15 protection.

It is been a long time since the last time I got excited about L'Oreal color cosmetics, so this is a big development.
I shelled out more than $50 for this haul and you can count on me spending more on these in the future.
(*sighs*)

Hope everybody has happy & safe holidays.
Merry Christmas!
^_^

  13. I want to get these shadows now! The packaging is so sleek and I love how almost all of the colors are shimmery. Perfect for the holiday season! The bronze and purple shadows are probably my favorites. The lip color is very pretty too :)

  14. i think this is a perfect hybrid of powder and cream eyeshadow. color goes on creamy but it doesn't crease. how nice is that, right? ^-^

  16. The eye shadows are superrrrrrrr pigmented!!!I think my choice of best shade would also be the bronzed taupe...the color looked so pretty especially on indoor lighting.....very lovely...=) As for the sultry smoke, the shade does remind me of a dirty pigeon...lolz..Hope you can share a FOTD wearing these eyeshadows...cuz' they are a bunch of lovely shades...^_^ Lastly, the packaging of Riche Balm is so elegant and classy...I would think its an YSL or any other high-end brand lipstick if you didn't mentioned that its actually a Loreal brand.....overall great hauls!! love them!! Happy holidays to you too!! =)

  17. lol i toot a couple of EOTD pics wearing "dirty pigieon" color and i think it is pretty nice indeed. i may take it back from calling that..;p
i'll do in-depth review on riche balm as well, but so far i love it more than revlon lip butter. it is so glossy and moisturizing.

hope you have happy holidays as well, Janet! :)

  18. haha i know, we are all victims of enabling swatches and reviews here. ;P
i haven't experienced armani eyes to kill shadow, which is similar to infallible, but i wouldn't want it as much since i am pretty satisfied with l'oreal. ;)

hope you had a nice Christmas. happy holidays to you, Andrea. ;)

  19. I haven't bought any L'Oreal products in such a long time, glad they're picking up their game! I'm waiting for all the Colour Riche Balm & Relvon Lip Butter comparisons to start popping up, I'm still so undecided!

  20. i know, right? L'Oreal has been so boring for the past couple years.
i will do a comparison post soon, but to give you an idea, i think they are totally different products. Revlon lip butter is like sheer moisturizing lipstick when L'Oreal Colour Riche balm is more of a gloss stick.
(*whispers* i just bought two more Riche balms....)

  21. the colors are absolutely beautiful--too bad they don't apply true-to-color though. i am normally a neutral-color gal, but i am really loving the purple and the green!

  22. i will do swatches on the purple & the green soon.
hopefully they show up better with sponge tip applicators. ;)

  24. Hi, Lena! I was secretly hoping to find the L'oreal Colour Riche Balms today at my local CVS and was so excited when I did! I bought them in two colors, Caring Coral and Plush Plum. They are definitely not as pigmented as the Revlon Lip Butters, but they are super glossy, which I absolutely love!! I also saw the Infallible Eyeshadows but decided to hold off on them for now. Looking forward to your swatches and reviews!

  25. hi Elsie! :)
thanks for stopping by and entering my giveaway!

i got Caring Coral and Rose Elixir after this posting and i love them, too!
some say they are disappointed because of the sheer pigmentation, but it is a plus for me actually.
i will do separate reviews on them as well as swatches for infallible.
would love to hear about your opinions, too.
